My stay at this hotel was for a business seminar. The room was a nice size and appropriately decorated with southern charm. The restaurant was excellent and staff most accomadating. I found the best thing about staying here was the location of the hotel was its location to the numerous restaurants, bars and shops within the area and of course... More

The box spring is cracked and the hotel has a board under my mattress. In addition one of the sinks in the bathroom does not have a working stopper to stop the sink from draining - it comes right out of the sink.

We stayed at this hotel for a work conference, which provided an affordable rate. This hotel is a first class place located in the heart of the downtown historical district. The room was lovely and the staff very efficient. The bathroom was large and provided excellent amenities. I would rate this stay with five stars except for my one and... More

I booked a king room with balcony through am ex website. when i travel i like to open my window or balcony and know what city I am in! The hotel "upgraded" me to a jr. suite which was bigger than deluxe room but shoved in a corner just facing another part of the building, with a small blocked window... More

Stayed on a saturday night in early May. THis is a very, very pricey hotel. It is nice for sure, but it is very hard to justify spending that kind of money. IT wasn't opulent, nor were the rooms phenomenal to justify the cost. THis is of course only my opinon as I saw the review are very positive.

Downtown Charleston is the place to be, and this property is right in the middle. It's close to most everything you'd want, shopping, tours, etc.The staff was very nice and helpful. When we got to our room we found a bottle of champagne and a small cake wishing us a happy anniversary. This was a nice touch, but it was... More

The Charleston Place is a majestic Hotel, can be romantic, and many of the people are professional and very courterous. The rooms are clean, but could use some updating. Here are the things we experienced that in our opinion will keep it from obtaining five stars: The Breakfast Buffet is awful..$54 for two and the food is well below average.. The... More

We just stayed there with our two children for 5 days. Beautiful lobby and decor. Awesome location...right by King St. And by N. Market. Great for shopping and taking in the sights.
