The staff could not be more pleasant. The hotel is new and is very clean and well maintained, modern and comfortable Problems with the room key (as 95% of Marriott Hotels I stay in-they need a new system!), which was handled so incredibly well by "Amy." I stayed a night for an event in the local area. I have stayed at several Residence Inns and this one did not dissapoint. The staff were nice and accommodated my late check-out request. Stayed here two nights. Had a one bedroom suite which was excellent in terms of space and comfort.. Separate bedroom and living area and a full kitchen. OK, it's part of a developing strip mall, but the location by the interstate makes it really handy for getting to Newport, Providence or to the Connecticut coast. We stayed in the two bedroom suite for three nights. Found there to be plenty of room for the six of us. Hotel was a standard Marriott - clean, new, fiendly staff. This Residence Inn has only been opened 2 1/2 weeks when we stayed there this past weekend. We had a studio that had a king bed and a fold out full bed. Small kitchen was nice. Kids had fun in the pool. There was a small exercise room and even a guest laundry room available which could come in handy.... more
