We were delighted to find rooms available in Newport are for Labor Day when I called two days ahead. Hurricane Irene had just come through and our plans to stay at a family beach house in the area changed. We booked Rheas Inn By The Sea because of its location near the start of the Cliff Walk (one of our... More

My husband and I stayed here for one night in July on a mini-trip to Newport to see the Mansions. I scoured the internet for quite a while trying to find a reasonably priced hotel that looked halfway decent near the mansions. While a bit nervous since I had never stayed in such a small place before (it's like 9... More

Was looking for a cheaper place to stay in Newport. All other good hotels were asking $300 - $500 per night. Got this room for $220 on the busiest weekend in Newport. Great value in comparision to what the Marriott was charging. VERY clean and had a great spread for breakfast that was included. Bed was a little hard, but... More

My husband and I went away for a short getaway and I am so relaxed it felt like we were away for longer. Tony the manager was extremely polite, courteous, and very hospitable. To me that says alot in a the place you run. We had the room with the jacuzzi and the balcony it was small and looked at... More

My wife and I spent one night there. It' is a small, comfortable and cheap hotel with Wi-Fi and continental breakfast. The stuff is nice and attentive, the room is clean. More

EXCELLENT! Great location. Room was spacious, super clean and comfortable. Staff, organized, competent and accommodating. Safe and easy free parking. Nice complementary breakfast included. By the way, the office does stay open until at least 9PM, after that, you have your own key, to let yourself in the building. Very good experience, with return to this Inn, every time I'll... More

Not luxury, but a great value. Furniture isn't the best but Rooms are in great condition. Staff (appears to be a family business) is friendly, though office is closed after 7pm. Baffles the street from Eastons beach, 10 minutes from downtown Newport. Breakfast is self-serve continental but good variety of cereal, fruits and juices. Very good price, compared to nearby... We stayed at Rhea's for two nights while my spouse attended a meeting and I visited Newport. Rhea's is simple, clean and comfortable and about a five minute drive from Newport itself. Because we wake up at 5 AM to jog, we were thrilled that the breakfast is serve-yourself, with items in baskets or in the refrigerator in the lobby.... More

I stayed at Rhea's for a 2 night weekend at the end of April. The location was great, about a block from the beach, and 2 miles from downtown Newport. The room was very nice, looked like it was recently redecorated. The beds were comfortable too. We didn't splurge for an ocean view or balcony. Our room was on the... More
