During my 3 week road trip I stayed in a lot of different motels and this place was by far the worst place I stayed at during the trip if not ever. It was memorial day weekend and Newport was pretty booked up an pricey. The motel calls itself Ambassador Inn and Suites these days and the pictures you find... More

Stayed at this hotel for 1 night!!! Good Job!! The check in was rude, The rooms were very smelly but apart from that just dated. Its really funny that the pics can make the rooms and the hotel look nice. There are so many hotels on the same street as the econo lodge for the same or a little different... More

We booked here as we were going to a wedding in Newport. Big mistake!! Nothing matches in these rooms. The rooms smell funny, and are dirty if you check around. We had a fridge and a micro-wave. Micro-wave was unplugged when we got there. Later in the evening we plugged it in, didn't work. Exhaust fan in bathroom smelled like... More

I arrived early Monday and no rooms were available due to a sell out the night before, so came back after 4:00 and room was ready. I opened the door and got a horrible whif of a musty and mold smell. I was not able to change rooms since I needed the first floor access and wanted a room facing... More

We traveled to Newport on August 12 for a wedding, stayed in Newport for 2 nights and then moved to Econo Lodge to save some money, but still be nearby. Reviews I read were not bad, price was right and it came with a Continental Breakfast. Room had very soft, saggy beds, same for the pillows. It did have a... More

The Newport area is known for high priced accomodations. It took us awhile to find a hotel online that was close to the area without completely breaking the bank. This hotel is still only minutes from Newport attractions. It has a small complimentary breakfast bar which was adequate. (Beware the juice and coffee made with highly chlorinated water-not so good.)... More

Upon arriving at this hotel we had to wait for about 15 minutes for anyone to show up at the desk. There was another couple there who had been waiting there longer. when someone finally showed she explained she was in the bathroom. (didnt really need to know that....) Noticed the individual cream cheese was still out in the breakfast... More

After reading most of the good reviews on trip advisor, we decided to book this motel. Big mistake. The walls and ceiling of the motel are paper thin. We could hear every single word the people next door spoke, and hear every step the people on the 2nd floor took. Both of the nights that we spent here were sleepless.... More

Stayed for 5 days while visiting family in the area. Hotel was average, nothing spectacular, but good for the price. Added bonus was the small refrigerator in the room. It was a hassle to constantly ask for the pool to be unlocked during the day, as everytime we went, the gate was locked. Also, housekeeping staff has limited English. One... More

The location is good and the parking is free. We asked for extra towels and pillows and were told they didn't have any extra. Really? There were about 6 cars in the lot. The room was pretty big, but the bathroom was a funky shape and the mirror was at an angle that it was impossible to do your hair... More
