We booked this hotel, even after reading the awful reviews, because a ski lodge is a ski lodge - what exactly do you need? Reviewers have a point, it's definitely not the newest hotel, but for the area it seemed pretty status quo. While the hotel is next to the mountain you need to drive there - that was probably... more

Like everyone else said, old, shabby, dirty, rude desk clerks, overpriced. Never again! I should have checked Trip Advisor first. Very close to Camelback, but too far to walk with ski gear. Never again! more

When you check in and they give you a room that's already inhabited, you should expect bad things! Finally resolved that issue when the elevators broke down causing everyone to take the stairs. The carpet on the stairs is filthy and held on by duct tape! Very dangerous stairs if there were an emergency. Cable in the room is pulled... more

I wished I would have read previous reviews before staying here!! They are so right. The rudest staff ever!! Very old hotel, no sound proofing on doors can hear everything including whistling water pipes. The worst part was in the morning we went down to have the very over priced breakfast. It was too noisy so we left, the waitress... more

This was an absolutely the worst experience ever. We arrived on January 1st in the evening. This was a hot weekend in Poconos, but this is not an excuse for rude behavior of the receptionist, dirty corridors, which were not cleaned for the remainder of our stay (we left on January 2nd in the evening). The rooms were not cleaned... more

Dirty, old, worn out. But that is not the main point. The convenient location is what attracted us and the add looked great. What a disappointment. The hotel is dirty!!!! Worse than that the service was horrible. In decades of travel I have never experienced such a rude behavior from the reception desk clerk. I would never go there again.... more

We decided to leave a day early for a wedding and arrived late that night, the gentleman at the desk was very pleasent and put us in a mountain room we discovered in the morning after, when we woke up to Mt. Camel in the sliding door with a little balcolny. The breakfast was awsome too though you had to... more

Let me list the positives first.....LOCATION -Very conviniently located from Ski/Tubing area & Outlet Mall. There are some good restaurents in the area. Great view of the mountains & ski trails from the Hotel Restaurent. Not the friendliest of staff....very average. Our room was not cleaned properly. There was coffee, leftover from the previous guest, in the coffeemaker & a... more

I was surprised to find such a run down and poorly cleaned room for the price that I paid. We arrived to find a dirty sheet in a cabinet under the sink, a wet towel on the floor, a broken TV and coffee maker and unsleepable pull out bed for the kids. Had to put the mattress on the floor.... more

I originally booked this hotel via it's website online for a weekend ski trip with my 11 year old son. I checked tripadvisor one day before leaving and I noted the poor reviews and was concerned about our stay. It's my own fault for not checking the reviews before I booked. Silly me for trusting words like "resort" and "5... more
