If you stay anywhere in New Hope, PA...stay Here! John and his staff are friendly and inviting. Our stay was absolutely memorable. We stayed in Room 10 and it is very unique. The antiques and architecture are superb! Our breakfast was served Hot and gourmet! Coffee was hot and delightful. The atmosphere was fantastic...off the main road so we didn't... More

The property is in an alley off of main street - cul-de-sac conjures up mental images that don't align with the exact location. That said, my husband and I took a brief trip to New Hope between Christmas and New Year's eve to decompress from the stress of hosting out-of-town guests and a party for 40 people. We could not... We were very pleased by our visit to Porches B & B. The breakfast was fantastic and prompt. Our room was small but beautifully and tastefully decorated. We were very comfortable. Holly and Carol were extremely helpful in picking out a perfect room for my husband and I and also recommending restaurants for dinner. Even though we visited in the... More

We live in the New Hope area and selected Porches on the Towpath as a gift to friends who were driving up from Georgia to visit. It was an important, personal occasion, so we wanted to find a special place for them to stay. Therefore, we visited Porches in person prior to booking a room for a weekend that was... More

Wonderful stay in the gatekeeper's house. Kind and welcoming service. A little pricey for the rather small sleeping and eating quarters, but it was a quaint and enjoyable stay. Lovely property and perfect location! More

My husband and I stay at Porches whenever we are in New Hope and we love it! The owner has owned and cared for this property for over 25 years and has created a mini sanctuary in the middle of New Hope. The rooms are well appointed and clean, many with decks, and everything you might need. The staff makes... More

I needed a brief getaway from reality and the holidays so I booked room 11 here for the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving with a good friend. My parents had stayed at Porches a couple years ago and recomended it and New Hope. Room # 11 was simply AMAZING. From the courtyard that you walk into through the first door... More

This is a beautiful property - with ambiance that almost has one confused - since when you enter the enclave you may think you are in New Orleans, or Savannah or Charleston...not somewhere along the Delaware River, deep in Yankee territory! John, the owner, is an affable man, who probably really did care about the place at one time. Now,... More

My husband and I just got back from our long weekend stay at the Porches on the Towpath... it was the most romantic - secret garden - charming place! it has a "Great Expectations" (check out the movie) feel to it! Our first day there we almost stayed in. We were completely happy with just sitting around and exploring. Secret... More
