Myself and a few friends stayed here on Friday and Saturday nights. We took their largest apartment, unfortunately located above the office. Surprisingly, we didn't have any problems with this, despite partying quite loudly! My friends can get a bit wild. The place is a 5 minute drive from the centre of Byron, but you can also walk along the... More

This modern facility is really perfect for a family of 4, like us. OK, so the pool is a little small by Gold Coast standards but we had no complaints from our 11 and 13 year old in the 2 weeks we stayed here. Being on the Belongil side of Byron does mean you need some transport if you dont... More

Thank you so much for your comments! We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us here at East on Byron. Our pool is definately popular with adults and children of all ages! The walk along the beach from Belongil Beach to Main Beach is only 15 minutes (tide permitting) and a very short drive. People who stay here... More

We booked this because we got 2 bedrooms and a bit of space when compared to some other expensive and small apartments. Lots of space inside. Outside kitchen area in our apartment was great to cook our fresh prawns and crab purchased in byron. 2 minutes walk from a lovely beach (across the road) and 15-20 minutes walk into town... More

We were lucky enough to get a last minute booking for a terrace villa at East the day before our arrival in Byron (esp since it was Xmas-new years period). The external of the resort is nice but doesn't look like much from the street however the villas are AMAZING! The moment we stepped inside we felt super relaxed and... More

Everything was as expected, very well fitted out with all the mod cons. Close to the town centre only a 15 minute stroll along the beach. Can not complain at all. Room was very clean, pool was delightful and the staff were very friendly and eager to assist. We will be back. More

We loved the location. East on Byron was across the street from the beach in a very quiet location. The pool was small, but enjoyable. The two-bedroom suite however was lacking. The floor looked clean, but was dirty and left your feet black. The TV was dated and the grill was electric - didn't get hot enough to grill properly.... More

We are delighted that you loved the location and found the pool enjoyable. We are a little concerned that you found your two bedroom suite lacking. We have found that being so close to the beach, sand and dust particles can blow in very easily. We have housekeeping staff onsite every day to take care of things like this. Some... More

We chose this accommodation as we were travelling with gear on the roof of the car and trailing a boat so couldn't use an underground car park. The reception lady was very helpful and the apartment clean and modern. Pool would mostly suit young children. The beach across the quiet road was beautiful and a great way to walk to... More

Very comfortable, well appointed accommodation in a great location. Beautiful beach. Hiring bikes was the way to go (from backpackers next door) and we were able to easily ride along the beach (at low tide) or into town along the road. The Treehouse restaurant next door was great - good service and food for great value! Swimming pool was a... More

Pros: Large villas, location, well equipped, proximity to Treehouse Cafe (a gem) Cons: NOISY, not kept clean, the pool was a disappointment, no service to speak of We had some friends who stayed here a couple of years ago when it was still run privately and they raved about it. The property has since been taken over by Waves Resorts... More

Thank you for your review of East on Byron. Interesting that you say that it was 'still run privately' only a couple of years ago as it has been run by Waves Resorts for over five years! It is a strata property so all units are privately owned. Waves Resorts manage these units for the owners and we also look... More
