My wife and I stayed in Red Deer in September, with our 2 year old and 5 month old children. The cottage was stunning and well stocked with all the essentials, including complimentary eggs, bread, bacon, sausages and cream tea. The on site facilities are fantastic, the indoor swimming pool and tumble room ensured our son was always entertained. Poltarrow... More

We were lucky enough to book Roebuck cottage at the last minute for a holiday with our one year old and dog. The welcome pack of scones, bacon, sausages, eggs and bread was very welcome. We were left in peace after this, which suits us beautifully. The cottage was far cleaner than our home could ever hope to be! There... More

We have just completed a week's stay at four of the six cottages at Poltarrow. This was a family celebration and there were 16 of us aged from 3 to 80. The cottages are excellent: all of them are well appointed with every mod con and device you could possibly need. The eggs, bacon, bread and sausages left in each... More

We found Poltarrow Farm to be an excellent B&B. As other reviewers have commented, it is very luxurious for a B&B. Judith was very helpful with suggestions for places to visit (contrary to one of the reviewers below) and the cooked breakfast was amazing (we also loved the aga toast!!). The wifi was a welcome feature, as was the swimming... More

We stayed in the Roebuck self-catering cottage. Excellent facilities, well maintained. Very helpful owner. They even provided a welcoming ration of bacon, sausages, and eggs - as well as tea and scones. Lovely location. Roebuck has an en suite bathroom on one bedroom, as well as the main bathroom. This, together with the generous size of the accomodation meant that... More

What a surpirse Poltarrow Farm was - it started when we turned into the Farmhouse with its long tree-lined drive. Poltarrow Farm felt more like a very good hotel then a B&B with a very comfortable drawing room and large conservatory dining room. It was very welcoming with just the right touches - lamps on in the evening to warm... More

We stayed here with friends & were really impressed with the standard of accommodation & facilities. We would highly recommend the cottages & the level of thought that went into our stay was outstanding. We have 2 children under 18mths & the owner provided over & above the regular cot & highchair. A lovely welcome hamper really made the long... More

We had a fantastic out-of-season week at Poltarrow farm, with the whole family (including grandparents and kids under 5). I can't understand the previous review, as we found the proprietor to be wonderful - very helpful and friendly, without being 'in your face'. The welcome supplies (cream tea, milk, bacon, sausages & fresh eggs) were a lovely surprise and tasted... More

For my mini honeymoon we went to Poltarrow Farm for 2 nights so we could explore Cornwall. The rest of the time we were in Devon. Anyway, the positioning of the farm is fabulous, its in a great place and thankfully there is a pizzahut etc nearby just incase you are starving...you're not in the middle of nowhere. We were...
