Me and my parner have just returned from a very relaxing weekend staying at this comfortable and well-positioned hotel. We had a nice room with a giant shared balcony overlooking the golf course. Don't see what people were raving about! Rooms were below average - and expensive for what we got! Felt like it had been dumped on the golf course. Staff didn't make you feel welcome. And if you're a non-golfer I would recommend finding somewhere else. Over priced and we were glad to move on. more

Bowood Park Hotel and Golf Course is located in a lovely part of North Cornwall, close to many popular attractions such as the Eden project and the port villages of Port Isaac and Padstow. Bowood Park is set in beautiful surroundings and the hotel is pleasant enough. The room we stayed in was reasonably large and clean. I stayed here for only one night and chose this hotel mainly because of its location close to the beautiful north coast of Cornwall, with places like Padstow and Tintagel. I stayed at this hotel last week with my wife and it is in a fabulous location near Camelford in North Cornwall. Recently went on a golf society weekend to this place. Great course, great bar staff and reception. Clean rooms and nice and friendly staff, but the catering was disappointing. Food came out cold and the time between meals for a group of 20 was at times 1hr 20mins. They are charging good prices for an inferior quality. Would not go... more
