This hostel looks really nice and modern from the outside but once you get past reception the decor is a bit rough around the edges, a lick of paint wouldn't go amiss. Stayed in a 6 bedded private room bunks fairly comfy. However costwise a hotel may have been cheaper. Breakfast was included in the price - very extensive, cereals,... more

We stayed in Liverpool for two nights mainly just to see northern England and experience Beatlemania and we did just that! The YHA is conveniently located next to the Albert Dock and the city is only a short walk away. A word of caution - one night we were coming back to the hostel at about 10PM and we struggled... more

Though its 2 years almost since I stopped here, the Liverpool YHA is the best Youth Hostel I've ever stopped in. It is clean, tidy and very friendly. - The rooms, though I'm not a fan of bunk beds the rooms were very comfortable and for a group the size of mine, we got our own room. Having an en-suite... more

Check-in- arrived early-were given the choice of two rooms ready but on different floors or one room ready with another close by later. Room on 4th floor close to lift and ice machine, but neither presented a problem, as machine was switched off at 11pm. Ice delivered to room after this time, really good idea. Hotel very conveniently situated for... more

Nice hostel, everything you'd want really. Nice, clean, great location. Great beds for a hostel, bigger than most! The big plus was the breakfast, We went expecting the usual toast, Cereal, perhaps cheese and meat but we got all of that plus a full english which was great. The hostel is located right next to the docks and about 5-10... more

We stayed here only for one night in january, but we loved the place. It was very quiet, but the rooms were very spacious and nicely furnished, with wardrobes, desk etc and enough beds for four people, but there was only the two of us in the private room. The bathroom was pretty standard, but all very clean and functional.... more

This is a very new hostel in an area of former dockland which is being redeveloped. The town centre is 10-15 minutes' walk away, or there are various busses which stop near the other end of Tabley Street. There is currently very little in the way of places selling food (restaurants/cafes or supermarkets), or indeed shops of any kind, in... more
