Travelled from Scotland with my sister and 2 young children. Arrived to encounter a rude and disinterested receptionist. Room had a horrible smell of wee, other peoples dirt and had clearly not been cleaned this century. We all started to itch, and my 5 year old nephew had bites on his back the following morning. Booked out and into the... more

Stayed at the Travel Lodge so we could visit our cousins in Billinge. My sister and my two little boys - ages 8 and 5 - had the misfortune of staying here. When we arrived the receptionist was a bit fed up because we had to interrupt her to ask for the key. When arriving in our room the smell... more

I read a lot of reviews before i went to this hotel i had 2 family rooms booked for a stopover before we went down to devon.I was worried to the point i sent 2 emails to hotel concerning the points other guests had written about the place. We were travelling 600 miles with a 3 year old and 4 month baby, so were just looking for a room near a pub with a kids play area. We left Scotland and couldnt fit the TravelCot in the car so enroute we rang up reception to ask if they could provide one, she rightly told us that we should... more

Receptionist short and to the point, not at all interested. Got to room, overwhelming smell hit us - both musty and of wee. Room visibly dirty and clearly had not been cleaned. Mattress thinner than the pillows (which werent thick by any means). £60 isn't a great deal of money but it is when your own car would have been... more

DISGUSTING. We should have known from the overgrown weeds, digger and skip in the carpark. receptionist was unhelpful and uninterested, got into theroom to find id smelt ( musty and of wee ), was dirty and dust evrywhere, even vomit on the carpet by the cupboard and in the bin. After changing rooms we requested an iron and ironing board,... more

We booked our travelodge in the £9 deals which were taking place in December. We stayed for two nights and as we are seasoned travelodgers we expected what we got. That is a basic room with towels and a bar of soap. The location was slightly further away from Liverpool than I had expected but ideal for visiting Knowsley safari... more

Booked as had a meeting in St Helens, only 5 miles away so really good from that respect, but thats where the positives end. Pretty manky to be honest, next to noisy road, receptionist had a bad attitude, room was scruffy, bath needed a shave and car park didnt look safe. Little chef next door wasnt much cop for breakfast... more
