Great hotel and just what I look for as I travel a lot in the UK on my own. Car park space. Safe. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Warm Room (what a joy that is:) spacious room too. Free WIFI - what more could a body ask for.

Being overnight for a business trip, I found the hotel easy to find. Sleeping in one of the Executive Suites, it is spacious and very welcoming. Very friendly receptionist and barmaid, a great pleasure to have a conversation with to come to know more about the area and its surroundings.

We were staying at the hotel on New Year's Eve, attending and event elsewhere.
The staff on reception and in the hotel bar worked very hard to look after us despite being very busy on probably the most demanding night of the year.
Overall the hotel appears to be a very well run hotel.

Good value hotel. We found the breakfast very good. Evening meals expensive. Stayed over weekend for Manchester Christmas market, easy to get into city. Drove car to Ashton station, free parking then train to city centre. Only grumble informed room service that the room was cold. Rad not working until night prior to leaving. Then all was fine.

Our room had a brand new bathroom which was a nice surprise. However we were disappointed with breakfast which was limited and not in the restaurant but a function room. Everyone had to sit at big round tables which was not ideal and the selection of food was poor.
