The room was clean, comfortable, and warm - even so we were offered a second heater. This level of service was typical of our whole stay: when a taxi we had ordered did not arrive, the landlady gave us a lift to Marlborough! A welcoming hotel, very comfortable after a long day walking with good selection of beers and food menu. Despite being adjacent to a main road there was no disturbance in the well appointed annexe where guest rooms are located. Staff were very helpful and attentive. More
