We went looking for a decent meal in a country pub in beautiful surroundings and were very disappointed. * All the restaurant tables had Reservation signs on them - at 11.55am on a Saturday? Clearly a trick to turn-away those didn't quite meet the standard of guest this snotty place thinks it can expect. * The menu reads well, but... More

We had a very specific idea of what we were after when we booked this hotel, and it met our expectations in pretty much every way! We wanted to explore the pretty village of Castle Combe, to be in easy reach of Bath, and to stay somewhere historic, traditional and comfortable. The Castle Combe Inn turned out to be a... More

I had visited Castle Combe on a day trip many years ago and always wanted to come back to stay. I was not disappointed This is an amazing village, a hidden gem in Wiltshire even though a little hard to find! This Hotel is one of the best I have ever stayed in. The price was very reasonable considering the... More

The hotel is actually in the middle of the village of Castle Combe. They have a pub and a modern restaurant. The room was not big but very pretty. It also has a big beam style, modern bathroom. This place made me feel like I am in a fairy tale. The food was lovely too. More

I booked a 3 night stay as a birthday treat for my husband and what a treat it was, On arrival the staff were extremely polite and helpful and this continued throughout our stay, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was beautifully furnished and immaculately clean, cosy too. We ate in the restaurant every evening and the food was... More

Booked a table for an early family Christmas Lunch. Parking spaces are sparse in this village and must be a drama to find in Summer. We managed to pick up a nearbyGeocache before we went in to a lovely roaring fire in a very atmospheric dining room. The Roast was very good, the vegetables were a little plain and there... More

We arrived in Bath at 7pm on a Friday after a long day of driving. We went to our hotel to check in for two nights. The manager seemed puzzled, as the hotel had no vacancies for the night. It turned out that their online booking system shuffled our visit ahead a day, leaving us with no room for the... More

Just visited the Castle Inn to celebrate a friend's 50th Birthday. The room was lovely with very comfortable beds and a spotlessly clean bathroom en suite. Fluffy white bath robes finished off the feeling of luxury. The staff without exception were welcoming and friendly and I would like to say a big "thank you" for looking after us so very... More

This quaint accommodation was clean, quiet, reasonably spacious and comfortable, what more can I say. Situated in a very picturesque village with pleasant walks nearby in the surrounding hills. The food was very good and the staff very friendly and accommodating. A very enjoyable interlude in a long and busy holiday. Would certainly go back again if in the region. More

The hotel and its location are a delight and the staff could not have been more helpful and welcoming. It was a perfect location for a family birthday with 15 family members ranging in age from 10 to 81 having a delicious private dinner with our every whim catered for. Thank you so very much. More
