Stayed for 1 night in Jan 2012 on business. Made to feel very welcome on arrival and receptionist even showed me to my room. Room itself was fine, the shower wasn't great and cold water was still luke warm but overall the room was fine ..... I slept very well which I don't always do in hotel beds. Didn't eat... More

We eat at harringtons restaurant fairly regularly and have always found it to be a great experience. Food is great and service never disappoints. We were married at the hotel 18 months ago and the staff always recognise us. A great personal touch that you dont often get. More

Been recently for Lunch. There were a party of 20 of us and the service was well organised. Fishcake to start was very good. Roast Beef o.k. - but small portion of veg. Crumble and Custard good too. All in all a pleasant Sunday Lunch ..... at £19.50 one expects reasonable standard. Never came to check is everything was o.k... More

We live close to the Hotel , and if we ever go out to celibrate we choose H.H.,H. Friendly staff good wine at reasonable prices, and very good food. Like all Hotels I am sure they can have an "off" night but we have yet to have been dining on one oh these. Cheers H.H.H. More

I have stayed here several times with work as its very convenient for Leeds and Wakefield but is in quite a quiet area. The reception is always friendly and polite. The rooms themselves are generally clean but some of the original ones are looking a bit tired in places. The restaurant is a little too gourmet, offering some dishes that... More

Second time eating here for Christmas dinner and last year we were happyish but the location for all our family is perfect so went again, this year it was terrible. They agreed to offer a prawn cocktail for a starter as we were so disappointed in their standard menu, this pc was rubbish with just a pink mayonnaise on top.... More

I occasionally use this gem of a hotel while in the area on business and cannot fault much. The room I recently had was modern in decoration but maintained the character of this lovely old house. The breakfast is really good and the dinner pretty good too although leaves room for improvement. A nice range of wines and beers in... More
