My wife and I stayed with another couple at this unique hotel at the end of March 2012. It was really magical to stay in one of their open air bungalow. Just after arriving, we were already dreading the moment we would depart this paradisaical place. Everything is made to maximize your experience. The rooms in private open air bungalow... More

Remote, splendid eco lodges set in the hillside overlooking a private beach. We found the sound of waves breaking less restful than others seemed to feel but loved the overall setting and would agree that the friendly staff and setting in the bar/restaurant enhanced our stay.

We stayed at Morgan's Rock with a group of friends, and while overall the experience began satisfactorily, we were awoken and shocked at 3am by a drunken intruder. This intruder climbed up onto our balcony and stood outside staring in on us through the screen door while we were in bed. When we yelled at him to get out, shocked... More

We stayed for four nights at Morgan's Rock and were very impressed with the setting and the style of the accommodations. At the outset of our comments, IF you are not physically comfortable with walking a few hundred steps up and down steps carved into the hills that host the haciendas and main lodge of the resort, don't bother staying... We are just coming to the end of a fabulous 4 day stay at morgan's rock. Just to give you a sense of who i am and a perspective for interpreting my review, I will share that I am a 31 year old married woman who lives and works in new York city. Although I am concerned about the environment... More

I had my eye on this place for a while, and finally made this trip to Nicaragua happen. I knew MR would not be the most luxurious place in the world, but was attracted to the treehouses, which were indeed fabulous, and the concept, which was ambitious, but poorly executed. The idea of coffee delivered to the room is wonderful-... More

Only later we were reading the reviews on Tripadvisor, mainly excellent, but some poor and one terrible. We recognized a lot. We should have read them before our trip, but we were seduced by a good marketing. An unattentive staff, poor food quality, but especially the overwhelming feeling, that this was really overpriced. You think, treat yourself well, as you... More

We've traveled throughout Central America and found Nicaragua to be our favorite spot, especially our 3 nights at Morgan's Rock. Everyone was friendly, the people who worked there, as well as fellow travelers we met. It is one of the most spectacular places we've been to. The food was delicious, especialy lunch..you must try the Red Snapper Tipitaca. The bungalows... More

My husband & I honeymooned for 2 weeks in Costa Rica and Nicaragua in Nov. 2006, and enjoyed 3 fabulous nights at Morgans Rock. We loved Nicaragua even more than Costa Rica and the service here is fabulous. A driver picked us up at the CR border and arrived with a cooler filled with sandwiches and cold drinks for us.... More

We arrived at Morgan Rock after a harrowing border crossing from Costa Rica. We were hot, tired and a bit unsettled. When we arrived the staff were lined up to greet us with cold fruit drinks in hand. This was the "luxury" part of a trip to visit family in Managua. There were three of us, including an eight year...
