Casa del Sur can be found on a large organic farm located approximately two miles from the ocean and the coastal town of San Juan del Sur. The home sits around 1500 ft. high on a plateau offering a much cooler climate. Surrounded by a steep escarpment on two sides and mountains on the other, it offers unparalleled privacy and security. Casa del Sur has spectacular views of Costa Rica to the south, miles of beaches to the west, and volcanoes rising out of Lake Nicaragua to the east. There are protected valleys for farming and large open pastures for grazing animals surrounded by natural forest with creeks and waterfalls. There is abundant wildlife including three types of monkeys, sloth, deer and many bird species. The Casa del Sur Lodge is a Villa with 7 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, and a private pool. The Lodge sleeps up to 16 guests. Casa del Sur consists of three pods, each surrounded by its own private wrap-around porch. It is an excellent venue for small or large groups. In the main pod there is a kitchen, bar, large open living room with four couches that could also be used as beds, a dining room table that is also a regulation sized ping-pong table, and a full bath, all overlooking the pool. The owner/host suite is on the upper level of this pod. The next pod contains four bedrooms with two full baths. The third pod contains two bedroom suites with two full baths and one large bedroom/entertainment room.
