This little spot is an unheralded treasure. We stayed in the Irrigation room and it was a real treat. It was very understated and despite not having the usual amenities offered at a chain hotel, the twin beds were comfortable and once the kids got used to the heat, they settled into their hay pads well. My youngest, Lindsey, even... More

Thank you for your kind words! We take pride in our rustic accommodations. Every hay pad is from organic bales from our supplier laid out freshly each week for our guests. I am delighted that little Lindsey was able to find amusement in our regular "house guests"! In regards to the feisty pony, that is Myrtle and she can be... More

I visited on a slightly overcast day, and it was perfect. The barn was so beautiful, and my daughter loved petting all the animals. We took part in the manure ball battle with Cousin Mose, and I swear I hadn't laughed that much since I lost my pants on the log ride at Dollywood. And the beet sammies were to... More

We were down in Pennsylvania in the Autumn and had the most wonderful time. We were on a quest for some Amish tourism, cherry furniture, quilts, that sort of thing. Oh, and fall foliage. The wife and I are Leaf Peepers Supreme. We've traveled all over the northern part of this great country of ours and seen some amazing fall... More

My newlywed husband and I stopped there on the way back from our honymoon. It was cold and snowy and breatakingly beautiful. Being from the southwest, we rarely ever get snow, let alone snow this deep! It had to be close to four feet on the ground and the folks at Schrute plowed walkway tunnels through it all to connect... Nothing short of amazing fun for me and the wife. We met a lot of celebreties while they were doing a location shoot for the show recently. Hilarious!

This place should be in a college course. Who knew beets could be so interesting? Some funs facts I learned: The Greeks presented beets to the sun god Apollo in the temple at Delphi. Aristophanes mentions beets in two of his comedies, Acharneans and Peace, both of which were performed in 420 BC. Red beets get their color from a... More

Visited on a sunny day with the kids, overall a good day out for the children but very limited in what they have to offer. When you first enter there is a chicken shack then you come into a diffrent area and there was a pig, donkey, some sheep and some ducks. This is all the animals we saw. The... More
