Confusing set-up, had to check in at the TA store. Walked right by tiny sign. Not very friendly. Had reservation, but tried to charge me more. I refused to pay more, and she gave in.
Reserved non-smoking room, but eveything reeked of smoke. Maids were very friendly and helpful, one called to the desk and requested a change of room for us. She walked us to the next room, let us in, and asked if it was OK. It was better, but not great. She told us they can't enforce "nonsmoking".
If you want a quick morning exit DO NOT stay here. This is a truck stop haven, which makes it very noisy!! It took us 15 minutes to get out in the morning, and that was only because a trucker let us in. It is a steady lineup of trucks and only 1 way in and out. Add to this everyone trying to exit from the motel, and gas station and it's a nightmare. There is no exit from the gas station, or the restaurant on either corner of the intersection. The stoplight only lets 1or 2 trucks... more
