This place is way past its prime. Basically this is a very dated motel separated into smaller portions. We stayed here for 5 nights in July of 2008. The location is great. You can walk into town for dinner. There are amazing tidepools just across the bay. The beach access is easy. The Shamrock Lodgettes is one of a kind. It's the quinessential Oregon Coast experience: funky-cool, on-the-beach, unassuming, tucked away and quietly relaxing. This is our 5th visit -- in all kinds of weather (this last trip had cold temps, but nice and cozy inside). We just love this place! more
