Yet when we arrived we rang the bell, waited and waited and waited, and were eventually met by a young woman telling us we couldn't go in just then as she had just mopped the floor. What? We spent 3 nights at Heceta B&B in early Oct. Even though we never saw the sun we had a great time. One of the highlights was a Pacific storm that was slamming our Mariners' room windows with 70plus mph winds. This is a charming inn. The staff and volunteers are great - very friendly. It was interesting having a shared bathroom, with a clawfoot tub by a window. Breakfast was amazing. 7 courses, 5 of which were marvelous. It was really fun to see the lights from the lighthouse at night. Great accomodations. more

The Heceta Head B&B has the best view of the OR coast from the front porch - truly a wild and wonderful sight in all kinds of weather.
