We have just arrived here in Welches but feel we already can provide a review for Whispering Woods. We arrived and were warmly greeted by the registration staff. After being shown to our unit D1, we were very impressed with the unit. This was an exchange unit for us with Interval International. The units are amazing! This is definitely one... More

We stayed a week in April utilizing a time share opportunity. We had. Two bedroom two bath, full kitchen, wifi, heated pool and jacuzzi. Since we had snow one of the days we were here it was nice to have the gas log fire place. It was an easy 45-60 minute drive to Portland. There were plenty of beautiful paths... More

We utilized a timeshare opportunity at this resort over the Spring Break. We had a one bedroom unit which had a full kitchen, free wifi, and a washer and dryer in the unit. The heat was never a problem where there were two well functioning heating units that worked very well, in addition to a natural gas fireplace. As well,... More

Thanks for joining us for your Spring Break! From my vantage point, it looks like you made the most of your time here. And, you did some of my favorite things, including a day-trip to Portland, a trek up the mountain to Timberline Lodge, and a trip over the mountain to my old stomping grounds in Central Oregon (I caught... With some diligent searching, I stumbled upon this place with a vacancy for a spontaneous trip to the mountain during winter break. It's 30 minutes from Meadows or Tea Cup on a good day, but can take significantly longer coming back down at the busy part of the day around 3. In addition to the roomy accommodations (we had two... The golf course is lovely covered in snow during the winter off season. Great cross country skiing right on the course, downhill skiing and family fun tubing a half hour up the road. The outdoor pool is nice and warm, and the hot tub and sauna are perfect ways to end the day. The 2 bedroom 2 bath condo we... More

My usual complaint of most, if not all, hotel/resort service is unhelpful and indifferent front desk staff. The high end hotel front desk staff is especially arrogant. Not for Whispering Woods, every personnel in Whispering Woods, from front desk to ground keepers to maintenance workers are super friendly and helpful. We stayed in C5 for a week, a single bedroom... Pluses: We called ahead and they said they would have our room ready by noon. We did. They had a welcome orientation that made us wish we had more time to see the area. Very helpful. The parking was covered and convenient Room was immaculate and well equipped. The bed was soooo comfy. Great video rental set up. Minuses: Internet... More

This is a quiet resort conveniently located for day hikes and scenic drives around Mt Hood which is what we were there for. We arrived after the 8:00pm office closing and had to do a night check in which was a bit inconvenient but it was our own doing getting there late. We had a two bedroom unit on the... More

I normally don't complain about any vacation rental but this just took the cake. We stayed in Unit D7. The location of this resort...if I dare call it a resort is about 40 miles outside of Portland. The surrounding town is very hillbilly and you get an extreme towny feel. The food when eating out is rough at best. Back... More

Thank you for taking time to write a review. I’m sorry we fell short of your expectations. Just to clarify a few points: 1. Welches is definitely a small town, but we do enjoy a full service grocery store for those who like to cook in their full kitchen, and more than a dozen local restaurants, many of which have... More

We went here with friends, what a mistake this place sucked..! it is always in high 80s summertime on Mt Hood and this place has no air in their rooms. Oh and they dont tell you they have no elevators for their 3-story lodging. I will say the pool was refreshing at night. We thought the front desk staff to... More

Thank you for taking time to leave a comment. I am very sorry that we did not meet your expectations, especially at the front desk. Although your comment about our staff was truly unexpected and not what I am used to hearing, it will be addressed.
