We arrived very late on a Friday night, The Dalles was our halfway point. From the outside it looked ok, had interior corridors, the gal at the front desk was very nice.

There were a lot of people wandering around the property who were locals and believe me they were kind of seedy looking.
So we get up to our room and it had a very sour smell, as did the shower curtain, the bathtub did not really look clean and the towels and wash cloths were hard and stiff and one towel had a stain, being it was almost 1 in the morning, I pulled the bedding off of the bed and put my sleeping bags on the bed. We got up very early the next morning and I went to the front office to tell them that perhaps the housekeeping might want to launder the shower curtains, and perhaps maintenance could fix the shower head, but I waited and waited and no one came to the desk, there was no one there apparantley.
