We found a great rate over the internet and decided the Shilo was a reputable name, so why not. This is why not: Where do I begin?...the parking lot was cracked and bumpy. Not a good first impression. The front desk staff were polite but morning shift and evening shift do not seem to communicate well. The TV in our... More

I would like to say thank you for pointing out the good things that you liked about our property, along with pointing out the issues that you had with your stay. Without guest pointing issues or problems that they experience we would not be able to address them. I’m deeply sorry that you had a bad experience with your stay... More

We ended up here when another hotel lost our reservation for the very busy "move-in" weekend for the U of Oregon. We were very glad to find any room at all, but this is definitely what I would call a "last resort" hotel. In a nutshell: Old and rundown - newer tile in the bathrooms, but the doors were ancient,... We stayed here on the recommendation of family members. The price was low which I appreciated but the rooms were small (and difficult to get my mother's wheelchair into), there were few amenities. On the plus side, it was clean, the price was right, and the restaurant attached to the hotel, "Elmer's", was fabulous. We ate several meals there and... More

I was somewhat surprised when we arrived because the hotel looks dated and we actually paid more for these rooms than we did for a much nicer room at another hotel the night before. The hallways are quite dark and smell musty. It seems to be an old hotel that hasn't been updated in some time and the decor and... More

My extended stay was pretty frustrating. The rooms and property are nothing to write home about, but also nothing too much to complain about. I agree with other posters though, the doors have been recycled, so the hardware has been McGyvered. Also, eventhough the GM is really nice, others on staff are hit/miss at best. The housekeeping staff kinda does... More

This is by far the worst hotel we have ever stayed at! And between leisure and business we've stayed in a lot of places. Certain things that you expect to find (and that they say they have on their site and in their room booklet) are not available! Linen bag was just the beginning Im afraid. After our 1st night... Adult daughter and I were traveling back through the area and decided to give them a try though we had stayed in a different hotel on our way through town. As soon as we brought out luggage into the room, I turned back the coverlet on the bed (we never use them) and found two yellowed stains on the underside... More

We have stayed here about six times since my last review in 2007. We always opt for an upstairs suite with full kitchen. These large rooms have obviously been made out of two smaller rooms, as there is a post near the center, but they are comfortable and pleasant. I like the nice, light colored modern furniture. Everything always seems... More

I am a return guest of the hotel and I have been watching the reviews on this site. I have consistently had great service and the room is always great. The staff is wonderful. The room is always clean (I stay at least 3 times per month on business). Kudos to the management and staff of this hotel. Yes, the... More

There has been a total lack of upkeep at this facility for a long period of time. Dirty carpets, broken door locks, broken coffee pot, no controls on A/C, missing shower curtain rings, uncomfortable bed and pillows, rude reception, cont. breakfast was a joke, only two tables in lobby for guests to sit while eating. Do yourself a favor if... More
