Booked online while being skeptical after readings reviews. Got to the hotel, wrong room, but was moved to another room. Hotel staff is great and very accomodating. Room is a different story. It's an old "motel" that they tried to revive. Rooms (both) have a really funky smell, old carpeting, and cheap/beat up furniture. Dont get me wrong..they tried to... More

This hotel was super cute! I was in Portland on business but immediately wished I'd brought my spouse. I loved the restaurant/bar with its huge fireplace, great menu and interesting cocktails! I highly recommend. Might even try to find a reason to visit Portland again (maybe when it's slightly warmer), just so I can stay here. Wouldn't recommend for family... More

1. THEY HAVE EARPLUGS ON YOUR NIGHTSTAND - AND - you have to use them. It's not a hotel... it's a motel. There are people walking around outside due to the bar and club. You can hear the pounding of the stereo speakers they play throughout the complex in your room. People are so drunk they try to go into... More

Frankly, the overall experience was poor. We are a young couple who enjoy funky, fun hotels. While Jupiter promises similar, it seems that they spend more time telling us their funky, and less time on the important functionality of the space. The wall mural was chinzy (bamboo, really?), the lack of any drawer space, the fact the toilet did not... More

A great, hip designed hotel for your dollar on the hip East Burnside minutes from Downtown. The rooms are designed well - but without pretension or impossible amenities that you can't use. (Instead - very practical amenities: bike rentals, laundry, etc) Also, they make your stay comfortable and cozy - not minimalist as it's mandated by Dwell magazine (ahem -... More

We spent a fantastic but quick weekend in Portland. Jupiter was a Superb location for this particular trip. However, I think staying at the Jupiter as many Pros and Cons. The Good: - Cute Arty Rooms, Comfy bed! (go for the Metro room, as the studio small is supa small.) - Super Star Hotel Staff! Friendly, Helpful, and Knowledgeable of... More

Cool little spot. If all you're looking for is a bed to sleep in, the basic room is comfy and cozy. Cute detail: the outside of your hotel room door is a chalkboard :) Convenient parking. They rent out bikes - which is the BEST way to see/experience Portland. More

If you want to experience Portland's uniqueness, I would recommend this hotel. You get a taste of Portland hospitality and culture here. This hotel has a quiet side and a side closer to their onsite bar if you are in the mood to have a couple of cocktails. Very convenient because then you don't have to drive. Some of the... More

I am all over the board on the Jupiter Hotel- Pros- Staff, Staff, Staff! Great location for my purpose Clean Cons- Live (LOUD) music right outside our door. Shower temperature had a mind of its' own. Small room that needed a different layout. After reading other reviews, we paid a little extra to be away from the bar (and we... More

My partner and I made an impromptu, midweek trip down from Seattle and decided to stay at the Jupiter per a work referral AND a friend who'd previously stayed. Despite some reviews we'd seen regarding noisiness, we experienced none of this. We slept soundly for both nights we were there. The staff was friendly and helpful; the rooms were minimilast/retro...
