We stayed 4 night at this Econolodge. It has been recently remodeled and was nicely furnished. Microwave, coffee pot, free contintental breakfast and frig were an added pluses. No frills at the motel but the free zone streetcar stop was less than 1/2 block away so the city is at your fingertips. The proprietor and his wife were very friendly... more

If you're passing through Portland this isn't a bad option. The price is reasonable but not really that cheap and they give you a free breakfast, if you can call it that. Just your basic motel chain that's doing its job. Much better than the Econo Lodge in Vancouver, Wa. but that's not saying much. more

I must admit that I had reservations about staying in a budget motel in the urban core of a major city. However, I was shocked at how nice, clean, and convenient this Econo Lodge is in reality. As I arrived after driving all day, I entered the lobby and was greeted by an extremely friendly staff. The owners make this... more

I thought this hotel was a nice option for people like me travelling on a budget. The exterior was freshly painted. The owners were friendly and check-in and check-out was quick. While not fancy, the room was very clean and comfortable, with a brand new and quite nice bathroom. And the room had a microwave and fridge, by which I... more

The other negative reviewers had a different experience than mine. I believe that there's confusion about which hotel is which: there's a Travellodge about 6 blocks away from this Econolodge, which is an older run-down motel, and some web sources incorrectly have the Econolodge's phone number listed for the Travellodge. The manager's comments are correct: this Econolodge is freshly remodeled,... more

I booked this hotel based on its proximity to the University Hospitals and the price. It is just a few blocks off Exit 1B of I-405. It did not look like much from the photos, but it just went to prove that you should never judge a book by its cover. Although this is an older motel, with exterior rooms,... more

I was shocked at how crappy this roach motel was -- i've stayed at a few Econo Lodges during my travels, never expecting anymore than a budget motel should offer, but this was terrible! We booked online nonsmoking rooms, but when we got there, they only had smoking rooms available. We had two rooms, both smelled like the morning after... more

I am not sure it is our location that you actually stayed at, since we have completely renovated the motel we have not heard a negative thing from our guests that stay here. Our guests are always pleasantly surprised with our service and the the quality of our rooms.
