Found this hotel amongst a ton of others in Portland and chose it because it was different. The decor is fabulous, bowls of taffy on the tables in the dining room. Excellent location in Portland's downtown Pearl district with the streetcar right outside. Came back late in the evening to delicious hot chocolate and coffee selections. A nice change from... more

Thank you and very well said! We’ve gone to great lengths to avoid being one of the “pastel and polyester” hotels-- from art to carpet and bed to bathroom-- everything you see inside is meant to mirror the eclectic experience of Portland itself. We’re glad you had such a great stay.

I stayed in a spacious, third-floor, king-bed “suite” for two nights in late October 2009. Making the reservation and checking in and out were easily conducted, and the front desk staff could not have been more accommodating. The inn’s funky décor did not compromise room upkeep, comfort and number of amenities, including two flat-screen TVs, comfortable king-size bed, and fully... more

To be sure, comfort and convenience are what we strive to provide at all points, from the comfortable beds to the friendly staff (who will always call a cab for you, whether you need it in 10 minutes or for a trip the following day). Thank you so much for the very complete review and for telling everyone else about...

We found this hotel first on TripAdvisor and booked directly with the hotel for the best rate, choosing a Premium King Suite so we would have a patio with table and chairs, which faced the street but was not noisy. We had requested and received a quiet room away from the elevator. As our booking was months in advance, the... more

What’s so great about your review, is that this is exactly what EVERYONE can expect during their stay—great rates, great service, plus all the amenities you could ask for—and as you mentioned, “everyone” includes every age group, because despite the funky design (or maybe because of it), our hotel really is appealing to all! Be sure to call again for...

You really can feel like you live in portland if you stay here since while close to downtown and attractions, you're in a real neighborhood....a nice one at that. What you get is essentially a stylized suite/motel room like Comfort Suites or Residence Inn. However, the fun design touches make your stay a bit more interesting. Breakfast is wonderful and... more

It’s true; staying here does make you a “neighbor for a night.” The building itself fits right in with the modern lofts that make up the nearby Pearl District, and the rooms are only a permanent resident away from being full-fledged studio apartments. Thank you for your review and give us a call the next time you’d like to live...

My wife & I have stayed at Northrup Station twice and both times it has been a wonderful experience. We love the decor which is done in a very fun, retro-modern kind of way. The suites are wonderful, it's like having your own small apartment. The full kitchen is a huge plus for us because we really get tired of... more

We’re truly proud to have become your “one and only (hotel)“ when you visit Portland. And it is tough sometimes to decide between going out and staying in at the hotel; we’ve done our best to make the room itself a vacation destination. Thank you for the wonderful review and when you’re ready to visit again, we’ll be ready with...

Following up on a good rating by TripAdvisor, we checked into the Inn Northrup Station for a few nights. The hotel is very convenient to local shopping and eating areas but most importantly the Portland Trolley (free with pass from hotel) stops right in front of the hotel. The trolley makes for a very convenient means for seeing Portland. The... more

Stayed at the Inn for 4 nights in November, 2007 while on a business trip in the Northwest. The rooms are brightly and interestingly designed. They have small balconies, which I desire in a hotel. I stayed in room 306 which had a nice view of the street. Very comfortable bed and furniture. more

It seems even two years later you still thought highly enough of your colorful room, comfortable bed, and convenient balcony to write this review! We're thrilled about that because whether you’re here for four days, forty, or only one, we always aim to make a lasting, positive impression.

This hotel was definitely the best hotel in our long travel in West Coast. The room was clean and spacious. They offer free parking, free breakfast and free Wi-Fi. Although this hotel is a bit far from the downtown, they gave us free streetcar tickets so that it was easy to access the downtown. more

Best in the west, huh? We’re very flattered you think so. And we’re also glad you mentioned the free WiFi, as it’s something we’re happy to be able to offer ALL our guests (not just the business travelers). We look forward to your next stay!

Stayed at Inn Northrup Station for several days last March, The funky decor is fun. Loved the flat-screen TVs; the free WiFi; free parking; the fully equipped kitchen; & the location--right on the streetcar line but also within walking distance to the restaurants & shops in the neighborhood. Great value. I would definitely stay here again. This place should have... more

This was the perfect hotel for my family during our first ever visit to Portland. The street car stop is right outside the front door and we got free passes for every day we were there from the front desk. The staff was very polite and helpful. The surrounding neighborhood is quiet, but cute and great for walking. Several times we... more

You rock! We’re glad your kids enjoyed our funky style, but be honest, didn’t you get a kick out of it too? Because while drippy weather is an unavoidable fact of life in the great Pacific Northwest, it’s always bright and colorful inside the hotel. Thank you for the review.
