Stayed here in October 2009. Geat location with geat views of the beach. Access to the beach is via a set of steps leading down from a central area. Room was spacious and clean. I experienced a problem with Internet access from my room and the front desk staff was extremely helpful in getting the problem solved, even suggesting that... more

The hotel has a great location right on the beach in Newport. Our room was close to the stairs down to the beach. The stairs may be a problem for those with limited physical ability, but were fine for our family. We were in a patio room with two queen beds. We were told that the room had been used... more

This was a good place to stay for a two-night trip. Well located near the sights of Newport without being overrun. Nice outdoor areas with amazing views of the beach and cliffs. Recommend a patio room for those who like to take walks. more

Although not impressed of the Hallmark from the outside, we waited to form an opinion until we saw our room. Relegated to an old, unrenovated room because our of dog, we were so appauled by the stains on the carpeting, that we requested another room. Of course, for more money, they moved us to a better room. Although the room... more

We have stayed at the Hallmark in Newport several times (with our dog). The staff is very pleasant and helpful; all the rooms have a view of the ocean; there are a handful of room "flavors" -- ours had two queen beds with a small sitting area with sofa, table, microwave, small fridge, dishwasher. It also had a gas fireplace;... more

I have lived in Oregon almost my entire life and never spent a night at the coast so I booked the hotel for the weekend. I was excited when I found this place because we wanted a spa room that allowed a dog. When we checked in, I got the feeling that we weren't really wanted there. Brushing that aside,... more

Stayed one night on road trip up the coast. Very good hotel, stayed in one of the new remodeled king rooms on top floor, great room, and had great view of ocean. Staff very helpful with fixing a problem with early check-in. Had great breakfast at restaurant attached to hotel. more

My boyfriend and I stayed one night here during our trip along the Oregon coast. The outside of the hotel doesn't look like much, but once we saw our room we were sold. It was very clean, and had a balcony that looked out onto the ocean. Its true what some other reviewers mentioned before that the balconies aren't entirely... more

The greeting was friendly, the room was comfortable and the restaurant was decent. Stayed here on a Saturday night in a ground floor queen for $124/night.. Location is right on the ocean which is accessible using a path or stairs to the left or right of my patio. Wifi worked well and was included. Room came with a microwave, fridge... more

I knew when I saw sand/dirt in the bathtub upon inspecting the room that I should've changed my mind right then. But I was tired from a long drive and didn't want to hassle with it. The ocean view was very nice, but the balcony wassn't completely private. Anyone else lounging out there can watch you lounging too. I came... more
