This motel was disappointing on every front. Yes, it was near the beach. You walk down a long path to get there. The staff at the desk were very rude. My Aunt had a coupon, and the woman told her that since I had reserved the rooms, she couldn't use the coupon. When I took the coupon to the desk,... More

This is difficult to answer because I don't believe this is a fair review of our resort, I will address the issues you have stated to the best of my ability, but will put my faith in the many Trip Advisor faithful follower's that can easily use their good judgment to determine if the review is truthful or not. Room was the size of a prison cell - no hooks or hangers for clothes, loud heating system cycling on and off and waking us all night, old TV, most basic amenities, no hair-dryer - none of this would be cause for complaint if room was half the price. And no one on the premises throughout the night in case... More

We were in Gold Beach to take the Jet Boat Tour up the Rogue River, and chose the Pacific Reef after checking TripAdvisor. We stayed two nights in the recently upgraded section in Ocean Front Balcony Room 221. The room was quite spacious, had 2 queen beds and a nice view of the ocean. The balcony was a great place... My wife and I have stayed at Pacific Reef twice now. We highly recommend the condos. Extremely nice inside with plenty of room. It is located closed to Tue beach, you can walk there in 5 mins. We have stayed many places on the Oregon coast and find ourselves going back to Pacific Reef. All staff are friendly and accomodating.... More

We stayed at the Pacific Reef because of the great ratings. We were not disappointed. We reserved a basic room, but decided to upgrade to ocean view king. It was worth the money. Tom took the time to show us 3 different rooms. Each one was very nice, but took the king. The rooms are modern and comfortable. The decor... More

I ended up in Gold Beach, went on trip advisor to find a hotel room. Also had a $10 coupon so it was just $49 plus tax. Great clean, warm room. The sound of waves lulled me to sleep. I walked down to the ocean at sunrise. The front desk and the woman running breakfast were super nice. I would... More

We LOVE Gold Beach and usually stay with family. We splurged and stayed here for a weekend in one of the ocean-view condos (#2) and it was wonderful. We walked on the beach everyday, they have a nice basic continental breakfast, very clean rooms. The staff was very friendly and our stay couldn't have been any nicer. It is very... More

We stayed in one of the most basic rooms on the side, with no view but it didn't matter t us as we arrived at 5pm and had to leave early following morning. Beach can be access on foot in 2 minutes and it's a lovely beach. The rate was $58 and that included breakfast which was excellent! The only... More

July 2011 my 7yo son and I embarked on an Oregon Coast / Northern California Redwoods road trip. Decided on Pacific Reef Resort being our "home base". Great choice! We got a standard room, two queen beds. It had a mini-suite type feel to it because one of the beds is separate from the other and the tv area (think... More
