We stayed at the wonderful Gearhart Ocean Inn in one of the recently remodeled Fitzgerald Cottages. We loved it! Everything was clean and the beds were comfortable. It was plenty big enough for my family of 4, but 6 people could easily have stayed there. Kathleen in the office was wonderfully helpful. It was quiet and a very quick drive... more

I stayed at the Gearhart Ocean Inn for three nights with my dog. I had a very well priced suite which included a living room, fireplace, small kitchen, bathroom, and upstairs dormer bedroom with a double and a single bed. The tiny town of Gearhart is just a block away and includes a charming ice cream shop, Pacific Way Bakery... more

Gearhart is just minutes from Seaside and a short drive from Cannon Beach. We stayed here during the "Stormy Weather" weekend, art event on Cannon Beach. Hotels there were requiring 2-night minimums, so we decided to venture out a little. And we're glad we did. Gearhart is a quaint little coast town, but much more quiet and family friendly than... more

This place is right at the center of old Gearhart, so it's a few blocks walk to the dunes and the beach. The room we stayed in was quite small but well furnished, with a big, comfortable bed and gas stove for heat. If you want room to stretch there's a big yard and garden with benches and chairs. We... more

I have stayed at the GOI at least a dozen times over the years and I have to say, this place is going down hill - fast. On our last two stays our rooms were dirty with hair in the bed. We found something that resembled dough (but wasn't) in our sheets, soggy shower floors that feel like you might... more

I have a stayed at other hotels along the beach, but this place was simply the best. We stayed in a 2 bedroom cottage that had more then enough room for 4 adults. The kitchen had a decent size fridge and freezer, a gas stove for cooking and a microwave. We didn't actually cook in the kitchen, but if you... more

I love the Gearhart Ocean Inn and Kathleen the office manager. I have been staying at this property for more then 15 years now. I have never been disappointed with my stay. It has been exactly has I've wanted it. It's a throw back to the 1940's 1950's. It reminds me of days long gone simply because it has all... more

We also stayed at the Gearhart Ocean Inn north of Cannon Beach. It was great for the price given the location ($139/night), and they do let you borrow some older bikes to ride around town. The property is very well kept and is right across from an AMAZING bakery right in the quaint small town of Gearhart. It seems to... more

A little TOO *RUSTIC* for our taste. Terrible furniture in the living room (a futon and a wicker chair only) making it impossible to relax in the unit. The bed was squeaky with springs poking at you, which caused us to actually leave a day early. Tight space, no toaster, shower going cold then hot while I was under it,... more

The Ocean Inn is a charming set of "cottages" with eat in kitchenettes and comfortable living spaces. The one bedroom suite with fireplace is PERFECT for two people, either for a weekend or an extended stay. The cottages are clean, the kitchens are well stocked with pots/pans, dishes, utensils, etc., and on a chilly or rainy day you can curl... more
