Heard about this B & B from my wife's coworker. He had not been here but it looked good so we tried it. Glad we did. The house is a nice quiet place to stay, the breakfast is awesome, Nancy cooked the first one and Karen the second , both were great with a personal touch to each. You eat... More

This was the most down-to-earth, personalized and accommodating B&B stay that we have ever experienced. We ended up arriving extremely late due to snow in the passes but the Wilson's were more than happy to welcome us when we arrived after 11pm with a friendly 'howdy' and a roaring fire in our room. We enjoyed exploring the ranch and listening... More

My wife and I wanted to visit John Day and a couple other outdoorsy things. She found the ranch which sounded like our cup of tea. Got there with no issues and check in was simple. Went over and petted a couple horses and then enjoyed the dinner we brought as we watched deer graze in the field right behind... More

This B & B is set in the high desert of north-central Oregon. The roads are twisty and fun and very well maintained, so it's easy to get there. The scenery is stunningly beautiful and changes with the light so that there are constant opportunities for photography. The house is warm and welcoming as are the owners and staff. They... More

We are repeat visitors and find the ranch as enjoyable as in the past. Accomodations are rustic but exceptionally clean and orderly. We recommend enjoying the expansive breakfast (provided) and bringing food for your own preparation in the evenings. Dining in Fossil is beyond unexceptional and the Condon Hotel (20 miles distant) has closed its dining room. The ranch has... More

My family stayed for three nights and the children all went horseback riding. The breakfasts were very large and very flavorful, and the hosts are very personable. You can borrow VCR tapes to watch in your rooms and there are board games available for your use. Wifi is also available for those who just can't totally disconnect. They also recommended... More

Our trip to the U.S.A included a 5 night stay at Wilson Ranches Retreat, a true working ranch just west of Fossil, Oregon. Our first breakfast set the tone for the whole stay. Phil and Nancy Wilson cook the breakfast (too much to eat!) for an eight o'clock start and all the guests eat around the dining table with Phil... More

My husband picked out Wilson Ranches for an overnight stay on one of our treks between the Tri-Cities in WA and Boise, so I could visit the John Day Fossil Beds. I'd wanted to make the side trip for five or six years, and we finally did it. I am so glad we did. The fossil beds were amazing, the... More

This is our 3rd visit to Wilson Ranch. We've been taking our grandchildren during Spring Break and I can't say enough good things about the experience. We all get a little riding in, but the ranch offers more than that. The ranch house is charming, the bedding is comfy, the breakfasts are great, and Phil and Nancy Wilson are full... More
