There was a storm, so the beauty of the ocean from our balcony was great. However, when we checked in, we saw a huge rat outside the foyer. We reported it to management, and they were nonchalant about it. I watched, along with several other guests, as the critter made its way down the sidewalk from door to door. Needless... more

The best thing about this place was the proximity and the view of the ocean. The room was large and had a complete kitchen. Very comfortable,we would stay again. Great home base for beach activities. more

I stayed here on the spur of the moment with my family, and we were a bit aprehensive about it because of reviews. I *thoroughly* enjoyed my stay, and I would stay here again. We got a three bedroom apartment style room, and I was pleased. It was very spacious with a large living room and kitchen and a BEAUTIFUL... more

Very disappointed. I feel like I got Motel 6 quality for resort prices. Outlets in the bathroom didn't work. Old coffee grounds in the coffee pot. Iron burns in the carpet. 10-15 staff members smoking outside the lobby uppon arrival. Lumpy mattresses. Just wasn't worth the extra $. I only paid $312 for two rooms but could have got the... more

For the money, this place was very disappointing. Like another poster said, no better than a Motel 6, albeit with a pretty spot on the beach. Lots of construction going on in the parking/entrance area right now which was not exactly peaceful, the elevator to get up to the top floor was bizarrely slow and tiny and loud, and the... more

Overpriced and very sub standard. Toilet didn't flush correctly and my daughter in law woke up with itchy bites on her arms! The pictures on the internet advertising are deceiving. Checkout people were not helpful. 3 women had to manhandle suitcases to the 2 floor. We had planned to stay for three days, but checked out the first morning there.... more

I have never stayed in florence before, usually I stay in newport or Lincoln city. I decided to give Driftwood a chance, because it was a nice location. The location was the ONLY selling point about this hotel. The bed was uncomfortable, and only had 2 pillows! So I had to order some more. Our tv ended up breaking- luckily... more

We stayed at the Driftwood Shores for a two-night stay on October 13 & 14. Driftwood Shores on-site restaurant has very good food as well, again with a beautiful ocean front view. I would recommend a hotel stay during the months of September and early October when the weather is sunny and mostly clear. Check out Historic Old Town in... more

It was a fogged-in Central Oregon Coast but we headed south, enjoyed the town of Florence and checked local literature for places along the coast. Driftwood is very grey and plain on a grey day. Sure, a view of the ocean from every room on a non-foggy day. No WiFi, despite our being given a box with a signal booster... more

We stayed two nights at the Driftwood Shores. The weather wasn't very cooperative, so we didn't take much advantage of the beachfront location. The hotel is a ways away from old town, but is quite close to the Sandpines golf course. The room was good-sized, clean, and equipped with refrigerator and microwave. We were happy to find there were laundry... more
