The hostel is in a great neighborhood and the staff is really helpful and friendly. They were very accommodating for us. When I come back to Eugene I will only ever stay there! The art and culture of the hostel and the neighborhood are a must see.

I turned up out of the blue, and they were full but let me sleep on their couch, and as well as having amazing and friendly staff, they managed to organize a ride south for me with Craigslist. What an amazing find, I would highly recommend it, plus all the musical instruments make it an awesome place to relax! Will... More

I stayed here for two weeks when I first moved to Eugene. Mac is really awesome, runs a tight ship. And he has a ship in the backyard. The place is super clean and nice artistic touches throughout. There's a natural food store close by, and a really nice stretch of the Willamette river is within 1/2 mile too.

This place is super! Artsy, clean, great staff, good vibe, music jam room, community kitchen, outdoor stage/patio in the summer. Close to a couple of great bars (Sam Bond's Garage and the Ninkasi Brewery) and located in the funkiest neighborhood I have ever seen! (in a good way of course). When can I come back?!

read some horrible reviews on this place.....don't know where those came from! clean, calm, "eugeneish" vibe.....friendly calm people run the place.......i like the rules and the organization.....closing the kitchen-common area at 11 is a decent compromise for people who want to sleep, and to keep the place from being a 24 hour party.......the bed sheets and blanket were clean, the... I stayed for four days over Christmas, didn't really expect them to be open. Potluck holiday dinner arranged and hostel provided a turkey. Enjoyed conversations with Brendt(?) Ian Mac and Luke although it took some time to figure out which was who. I had a private room and received an upgrade, room was next to a first floor dorm that... More

Really cute place. Very hippie-ish, clean, things to do in the back (piano, foosball, etc).. They have camping..awesome. BUT...They close the common area/kitchen at 11. I was down there on my computer because all my roommates were in bed sleeping at 9:30 and I wasn't in the least bit tired and wanted to update my blog. I asked where else... More

Although I only planned to stay at this hostel for a night ,I ended up staying a week and a half. Unique area-good coffee shops, authentic Mexican stand a block away, organic food, superb bakery. There is also an REI and a great bike shop a few blocks away. I was biking, so made use of their tent spots which... More

This is possibly the best hostel we have stayed in on our travels in recent years. The people are friendly and relaxed but everything is as it should be: inexpensive private room with bathroom, pancake breakfast and cooking facilities in a clean kitchen, music and games room when the weather does not permit hanging out in the garden. The neighbourhood... More

I have been excited to write about this since the trip. The owner of the place is a great guy, there was a bit of confusion with our reservation and he accommodated us brilliantly. The hostel is cozy, good energy, pretty standard stuff. It is in the most interesting neighborhood - take some time and explore Whiteaker. Meet some folks,... More
