I use TripAdvisor pretty regularly and I find the reviews to be pretty on par with experience, this could not have been further from the truth with this establishment. We don’t write reviews or ask that people write reviews on the motel. It appears that this reviewer chose the lowest price motel on Trip Advisor for this area and expected it to be the high-end motel/hotel for the area. Nice folks and helpful getting us to a fun local restaurant. It is just up the hill in downtown Burns, away from any highway noise.

very tidey well kept place. Older motel, but had all amenities. Contenental breakfast was a plus for the price and the staff was very friendly. Dexter was especialy friendly.

We recently needed to make an unplanned and quick overnight trip to Eastern Oregon. The Silver Spur Motel in Burns is a great place to stay. We found our room exceptionally clean. The management was friendly and very helpful. It is located walking distance to good restaruants. They provide breakfast free of charge. The cost was very affordable. We'll stay there again anytime we are in Burns. I highly recomend the Motel.

We stopped in Burns before heading to Steens Mountain an hour south. Robert Carlson is the owner,and is very pleasant to deal with.
