I just stayed two nights at the Portside Suites and was so delighted. I had done tons of research and it just did not look like there was any place in Brookings that did not have bad or questionable reviews. I am soooooooooooooooo glad I stumbed upon Portside Suites. The room was beautiful and spotless. The bed was so comfortable... More

I stayed here with my husband on our way to Seattle and oh what a delight after the dirty, noise motel we stayed at outside Yosemite. The king size bed was absolutely beautiful and the little apartment was just delightful with everything that you could possibly need. We ate at a little diner along the road that sold fish and... Heeding caveats from some previous reviews I was on my toes. The room was beautiful, well thought out for livabality and comfort. Only complaint is the bathroom door. Too bad it couldn't have been a pocket door since it made the bathroom a bit of a "dance". The 2 room suite is very comfortable for 2 people that keep different... More

The room we stayed in was newly remodeled and furnished. I LOVED it. King sized bed was very comfortable and nice sheets. The couch was even really comfortable. It had a hideabed. Very clean. Beautiful bathroom with granite countertops. Very spacious. We were able to stay with AAA rate for 90.90! Loved having the microwave, sink, fridge and toaster to... More

After staying about 8 months ago i wanted to come visit Brookings again. But i was hesitant about staying because of all the things that were comming agout with the old manager. When i arrived i noticed all new staff, a new manager and a friendlier atmosphere. I Had a Great stay and i will always come back. =] More

My family and I stayed at this hotel while my in-laws stayed at the Ocean Suites down the road. After seeing both rooms, there is NO QUESTION that Portside Suites is the place to stay. The rooms at Ocean Suites are nice and clean and have a full kitchen, but they are pretty low level when it comes to finer... More

The Portside Suites was a wonderful place to stay in Brookings - right in the harbor area, near the ocean and very sensibly priced. All 12 units are suites. Ours suite was downstairs, one bedroom with a patio, mini kitchen, dining area, front room and a fabulously clean bathroom. I would think from the upstairs units you may be able... More

The rooms are very nice, though the view is disappointing and doesn't live up to the website's description. Even in the upstairs room there wasn't a view of much of the ocean, and I never could spot the river that there was supposedly a view of. At $130 a night off-season this was neither the best nor worst deal, but... More

My wife and I discovered this gem of a place a couple of years back, when I took her to the coast for a romantic getaway. It is down in the harbor, albeit not on the water, and every room has an ocean view. We have stayed in five different rooms so far, each having similar decor, but all offer... More

we weren't willing to pay best western in brookings over 169.00 for their basic room (our best western card didn't do anything to drop the price), so we drove down the road and stopped at portside suites. their summer price for a suite was 130.00, but with aaa discount it dropped the price to 117.00. this place is very nice!!...
