The Chetco river inn is the perfect place to relax and get away from it all. The river is warm an inviting and crystal clear in the summer . The new owners Dan and Marci have done a great job giving the inn a cosy feel. The view from the porch is priceless, a true gem of a place.

We spent two weekends at the Chetco River Inn this summer. The new owners, Marci and Dan, have done a great job making the house comfortable and they are working on some great updates to the property. The Inn is clean and well equipped, and it provided the perfect location for a family river getaway. The slow moving river was... More

Our family and friends stayed at the end for Labor day weekend. The kids and adults all had plenty to do, with the warm whether. Floating the river right from the property was perfect for all, even down to our five year old grandchild. We are now looking forward to staying this winter to take advantage of the salmon fishing.... More

Over the July 4th weekend, we had a family gathering at The Chetco River Inn. Our group occupied the 5 bedroom suites in the Main Lodge as well as one of the two separate guest houses called the Stone House. We spent most of the time floating the slow moving river in 85 to 90 degree temperatures, hiking, and biking... More

I am saddened to report that Clay and Sandra have retired as innkeepers. The new owner has no intentions of maintaining this place as a bed and breakfast. We are all the poorer for its loss, but may Clay and Sandra enjoy a happy, well-deserved retirement. We love the Chetco Inn; there is no place finer. Here's to you, Clay... More

My three sisters and I stayed overnight in the cabin, a small self-contained building near the main lodge. We used the full kitchen after buying supplies in Brookings, about 1/2 hour away. When we arrived Sandra, our hostess, showed us to our cabin, where a wood stove fire was already burning. The cabin is charming, though cozy for four, and... More

Sitting at work today my mind wanders over to the Chetco River Inn, wishing I was sitting in their lovely livingroom reading a good book or playing board games, or walking out to the river to enjoy the wildness of the palce, or watching the starry night sky, or enjoying a delicious treat from our hosts. This is not a... More

If you are looking for a place to renew, revive and relax - this is it. I have very warm memories of my visits to the Chetco River Inn. Not only is the location (set on 40 acres, fronted by the Chetco River and surrounded by forested land) unbelievably beautiful - the Innkeepers, Sandra & Clay Brugger, made me feel... More

We spent 2 nights at the end of August, 2009. The Inn is situated on the bank of the Chetco River, 16 miles from the seaside town of Brookings in southwest Oregon. Because the marine layer of cold air does not penetrate that far inland, the temperature at the Inn may be 85F while Brookings is at 65F. The Inn... More
