Last summer my husband and I were returning from our summer vacation and drove through Baker City. We were hungry and decided to try the food at this hotel. We were in awe from the moment we walked in! What a gorgeous historic hotel. I immediately felt welcomed and appreciated. The architecture is fascinating. I regret we were unable to... More

I live in Baker City, and when I want to go out for a nice dinner, lunch or breakfast I go to the Geiser Grand. The service is always great - they are there to make your meal memorable. If you like steak their Grand Steak (6 or 12 oz) is always very high in flavor, tenderness, and always perfectly... More

From the moment I made the phone call to inquire about reservations I had a good feeling about the Geiser Grand. What an incredible piece of history. The Geiser Grand is a beautifully restored 19th century hotel. The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Whether having breakfast in the cafe, or dinner in the... The rooms are beautiful with elegant charm throughout the whole hotel. They have a charming gift shop, great bar, 3 dining areas, and some wonderful nooks that only exist in historic places. Be prepared to wait a bit for food, but it's worth the wait for any meal. More

I tried to book the hotel thru a number of websites but finally found that by calling the hotel directly it was 1) cheaper and 2) there were more rooms available than the internet research showed. The hotel staff was very helpful on the phone and gave me several options. Very nice experience. More

We called to reserve a room from Twin Falls, ID the night before our arrival on Tues. Jan 24th. I spoke with a nice woman who told me of the wonderful rooms, delightful food and snow shoe rentals available. We had stayed at the hotel on Labor Day, 2009. We knew that snow was arriving and thought the Geiser Grand... More

Enjoyed a great dinner and really love the place! The hotel is just beautiful! The staff is exceptional - we've stayed here before and will definitely do it again!! The room we had was very roomy, huge windows and excellent room service! Really loved the big fluffy robes too! More

The hotel is beautiful, of course. There is no doubt about it's high quality and class. It's the perfect combination of classic 1800's furniture but with the high quality beds, amenities and electronics. The staff, however is exceptional and they have gone above and beyond my expectations of what customer service should be. Not only were they extremely attentive but... More

Nice rooms and good food. We stayed in the Corner Room this time and loved it. Lots of light and very roomy. The menu and specials were excellent, but desserts did not seem up to the quality they normally are. Good but not the normal great. My only suggestion is the restaurant should use ceramic tea pots instead of the... More

Things we loved: complimentary fluffy robes, down comforters and pillows, tons of free DVD's to borrow, and great restaurant. The giant windows and drapes in the room, and the tall staircase leading to the restaurant lended to the historical ambience. My favorite part was the 8' showers. I felt like I was 7 years old again! When my kids saw... More
