It's a shame that Oberlin doesn't have a decent hotel or inn in the town, but alas such is the case. The Oberlin Inn is ideally located right in the center of town, but the hotel is a disappointment in almost every respect. The building (I'm guessing 1960's vintage - it replaced an older hotel on the same location) is... More

Someone's making a lot of money, because none of it has been put back into updating the rooms since the 1960s. We learned that although the university owns the Inn, it is managed by a second party. This is a convenient arrangement that facilitates passing the buck. How can such an esteemed college not be totally embarrassed by this tacky,... More

The ownership and management are both aware that the Oberlin Inn is dated and in need of updating. The fact is, a study is being completed on the facility to see what is in the best interest of ownership, to rehab or rebuild. Your business is appreciated as well as your comments. More

I visited the Oberlin Inn while my daughter was visiting the college. The Inn has a great location right next to the campus. The room was a bit dated and the fixtures were a bit worn, but it was very clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. The on-site restaurant is fine, not exactly gourmet, but solid and reasonably... More

We went for an activety in Oberlin and went to the Oberlin Inn. We had a meal at the restaurant, could not cut the bread with a knife could not eat the food and they charge us $65. for one of the worst meals I have had in my life. The place was not clean and I felt dirty when... More

Recently, I had some hard times and a local Church put me up in a room at the Oberlin Inn. Being local, I've never thought about staying here because I've never needed a play to stay. Until now. When I needed a place in my time of need the staff gave me a room. Cooperated with the Church for payment... More

Oberlin Inn may need updating but it is the place to stay while visiting Oberlin College. It is within walking distance to the campus and the Allen Memorial Art Myseum. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are very clean. I have stay at the Inn at different times and always found it to be as welcoming. I couple... More

I attended Oberlin and the hotel has not change in almost 20 years. The location is excellent and the room seemed clean. However, I travel often for professional conferences, and Oberlin really does need to step it up and either heavily renovate or build a hotel and conference facility that suits business travelers and parents. Patrons paying good dollars for... More

The hotel has deteriorated alot since 30 years ago. The rooms are dated, dingy, and overpriced. The staff and management seem to be outdated too and better suited to run a budget motel. The food at the restaurant is not very good. For $12 for an 8oz ribeye dinner I expected something edible. Over half of the steak was fat... More

I stayed here while doing a program review for Oberlin College--so they paid. So I can't comment on price or value. It was ok--clean, but old and a little dingy. Brought me back to the early 1960's. Stains on carpet--bathroom very 1950's, but ok.

I was concerned about choosing this hotel for my daughter and me (we were visiting the campus). I was happily surprised. Yes, it is older. But it had a pleasant oldtime feel to it, and the room was clean, with a beautiful view out towards the campus. The room had a slight musty smell to it, but it didn't bother... More
