Renison Cottages (or, at least, Henty Cottage) is best avoided. Although quite reasonable in terms of price, and well located just behind the harbourfront, 'Henty Cottage' has seen much better days and requires a makeover.
To begin with, the 2 arm chairs which overwhelmed the kitchen/living area had nasty grease stains from years of wear right where you should be...

We stayed in the tramway cottage for three nights in mid-February. It is in a quiet location away from the main road but only 10 minutes walk to the waterfront and centre of Strahan. The cottage is roomy and had everything we needed. We somehow missed out on the cheese and salmon platter (perhaps because the owners were away the...

We spent only one night in the Tramway Cottage and only wished that we could have stayed longer. The cottage is an old tramway cottage that was saved from being demolished for firewood, transported from Renison Bell and lovingly restored. Lots of surprises too...spa bath, washing machine and dryer, fridge with fruit and cheese platter including a bowl of fresh...

We stayed in the 2BRM Blue House for 2 nights. The Blue House is separate from the other Renison Cottages and not in the same bush setting. However, it's a small 2BRM house on its own sloping lot in a quiet part of the town, and only a few years old. We were very happy with the accommodation. Tickets for...

Well located about 5 minutes walk from Strahan.
Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts who left a welcoming fruit, cheese and salmon platter, provided us with salmon to cook on the bbq and a delicious salad for Christmas Day and booked the ferry ride for us.
We stayed in Tramway Cottage - cute, 1 bedroomed cottage with comfortable...

We stayed for three nights with our friends in the 3 bedroom/2 bath house. Everything we needed and more was provided including a generous platter of smoked salmon and cheese on arrival and provisions for brekky next day. It's only a 10 min stroll to the main street. You'd be hard pressed to find fault with this place.

Strahan is a peaceful and beautiful town!
We stayed in the tramway cottage for 2 nights and were thrilled with the price and accommodation offered! The hosts are very friendly and left some fresh smoked salmon as well as the free continental brekky in the fridge. Also a fully stoked tin of biscuits!
Would definitely recommend!!
