Room was ok. Nothing special and certainly not worth the tariff. The breakfast was very average but one highlight was the cray dinner and the cocktails. The views of the mountains were beautiful and went some way to overcoming gloomy cabins. The walks which were close by were great

We have been at least yearly visitors to Freycinet Lodge since it opened. I was so disappointed with our weekend away this year. Our premier cabin was lovely as always. The two thin blankets they provide are inadequate and doonas would provide more warmth and comfort. When we went to the Lodge for dinner, there was a real lack of... More

The cabins were quite good (we had been upgraded to a deluxe - cabin 7) although a little dark inside. The bathroom was large and bright and included a spa bath, and the bed was very comfortable. Shower was wonderful, with lots of hot water and good strong water flow. Cabins were private and we could walk to the lodge... More

I fell for this hotel when I saw a shot of their long wooden dock jutting into the turquoise bay, lined with bright orange rocks. The technicolor image is accurate --- it is exactly what it looks like and it looks beautiful. Pros: It is a beautiful spot, and well situated for hiking. Cons: It's a fairly long drive from... More

Very pleasant and relaxing. The chalets are quiet but no TV so take a good book to read at night. Staff friendly and helpful and there is a choice of two places to eat at the resort. Rooms are very comfortable with a spa bath. If the weather is poor then a trip to Bicheno is a good alternative to... More

Outstanding location and very comfortable accomodations with a good restaurant BUT, and I know it’s eco, it’s green and it’s Tasmania, it is 2013 and no WiFi and no television simply isn’t good enough in a high priced hotel complex. Maybe it’s the season but there is no second restaurant, there’s a café that closes for food at 1500 and... More

We stayed the night at Freycinet Lodge in a Deluxe Cabin. Was well equipped, private and everything that was promised. The location was excellent being close to Wine Glass Bay and a host of walking trails. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Dining was a bizarre experience. We were seated more than 20min after our reservation time to an unset... More

Stayed three nights and walked the Wine glass bay trek taking 4 hours, came back and relaxed in the huge spa which had a large window letting in the sun just beside it, this also meant you could lie back watching the trees. The room was large and very comfortable. If you wish to watch TV you have to make... More

We recently stayed at the Freycinet Lodge, in a Deluxe Wineglass Cabin, for 3 nights. The location was excellent, the hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and our cabin was very lovely (including a huge jetted tub). No internet, no phones, and no televisions in the cabins; we all disconnected for the world and really got a chance to... More

What a fantastic place. The views from our cabin across the bay towards Coles Bay were stunning especially as we had brilliant weather. The cabin was spacious, clean and well appointed. Oh and we had a TV - I don't know why a previous reviewer didn't. Staff are all very helpful and friendly and you can do various walks straight... More
