Room was adequate without being exciting. Lacked any extra touches. Staff friendly enough, receptionist very helpful. Good buffet breakfast. More like a budget hotel and not good value for money. more

What a joke! dinner dance ? We were in a party and pre ordered our meals(£30per head) 2 weeks in advanced and were told on the night that they had run out of starters!! loved this hotel. I believe it has recently been refurbished and despite its slightly random location it really is a great place to stay. The room service food was fantastic and the service brilliant. Prices were not over the top making the experience all the better. We stayed as part of a family wedding group. The staff were very well organised and helpful. The rooms were very spacious, clean with comfortable beds, and the balcony was welcome. Breakfast was excellent. more

Very small room for someone used to Premier Inn standards! Only a narrow single bed too. Premier Inn etc,are definitely better value for money - more space, better (newer) beds etc. But the Bridge has been refurbed lately so is miles better than it used to be, and the room service was prompt and efficient. We booked 13 rooms for our staff, I was unfortunate to have room 23, bedroom was ok, beds were comfortable although the air conditioning to heat the room was noisy, the bathroom, what can I say, the door couldn't be closed quietly, the lock did not fit, the window in the bathroom wouldn't close and with the air vent made... more

My first experience of the Bridge House Hotel was a little like the curates egg - good and bad in parts. On the positive side, the staff (without exception) were polite and friendly. Hotel had clearly recently been updated, and although room was very small, it was clean and bed was very comfortable.... BUT the sound of running water all night made for a very disturbed night's sleep. more
