After seeing mixed reviews I thought I'd take a gamble, hoping that this privately owned townhouse in the centre of farnham may have some kind of unique charm, but it didnt. The rooms arent just dated (period rooms with character I can handle, even if they are a bit shabby) but these are newly built/furnished rooms. Rather than 18th century,... More

Booked in for a sunday night stopover; restuarant closed ("wedding earlier in the day") - room adequate but bathroom really poor and shabby - bath panel loose, shelving falling of wall, wc rocking on it's fixing and digusting caulking around shower screen - awful. The management expressed surprise when I gave them the same feedback - enough said!

Similar to what other's have said here. Me and a friend stayed for a wedding. The downstairs is clean and modern but the bedrooms are in need of re-decoration. Peeling paint in the bathrooms and we couldn't open the windows in our room - one of them was boarded up. The beds - 2 singles - were child sized. We... More

I have literally just returned from this hotel after 2 days with no hot water. Even luke warm I could have dealt with. It was freezing! Very disappointing. We did mention this but nothing was done about it. It could be a beautiful hotel; its such a shame to have to write a shoddy review.

I would like to thank the staff that I met at the Hotel they are great although, I do feel that they need to update the building, etc.. When entering it is new and minimilistic, but when you go upto your room you realise that they seem to have forgetton to carry the work upstairs, and that is such a... More

I echo what others have experienced when it comes to the state of the rooms. It's 18th century last updated in the 1980s and it shows. However, the staff and manager in particular tried hard to be friendly, helpful, and professional. If the lobby is any indication, the renovations will make this truly a special, upscale hotel in the middle... More

Located on the high street in Farnham, this plain looking hotel, actually hides lovely cottage style rooms around a relaxing garden. We only stayed 1 night but had plans allowed, would have stayed two. The room was spacious, comfortable and quiet. The added touch was the apples growing on the tree beside our door. Our only disappointment was that they... More

Just stayed here for one night on business. On the plus side the service was friendly and the bed, pillows and duvet were clean and comfortable, but that is all I am afraid. The entrance of the hotel and the bar area are trendy and modern but be aware that this is operated by a different business to that of... More

Booked in late (as pre arranged) Friday 30th Aug, to be presented with a room that was smelling damp, bathroom shabby and old....and when we asked for an alternative, the 2nd option was identical!....'No other rooms' available so that was that.... too late to find other options. The bed was actually just 4' wide, and whilst listed as a double,... More

Stayed here after a local wedding. On the oustide it all looks quite promising, but the reception is shabby as are the public rooms. Our bedroom was a good size but dark and dingy (too much greenery in the garden blocking out any light) the bathroom clean-ish but in desperate need of modernisation. The bed was uncomfortable and the smallest... More
