I ate at the Full Moon last night as part of a small group. (We did not stay overnight). We had all pre-ordered our menu options so there was no excuse for poor food. I ordered the chilli tiger prawns which sounded delicious. The 5 understated peeled prawns arrived and looked like they had just been taken out of a... More

Really sorry that you didn't enjoy your meal with us. We had no idea at the time as everyone seemed happy when we asked and the atmosphere was good. I'll be contacting the group organiser separately to offer a voucher should you wish to try again. More

We manage to pick up a two for one offer Monday to Saturday, and chose to eat at noon on Saturday. As a result the place was virtually empty and a bit cold. The venue is traditionally english, wooden beams, oak furniture, wood burner with a series of small eating areas scattered seemingly randomly around the premises. The service was... More

We recently stayed a the full moon for a short family break, we all had a great time and the food was very good. The sunday carvery was one of the best we have ever had! Reccomended both staying and eating, can't wait to return! P.S the kids loved the indoor heated pool. Amanda and family More

My Partner & I went to the Full Moon last week and were really impressed with it - I'm guessing they have had a much needed change in Chef since we went last (on our way home from Longleat Safari Park). A lovely pub, in the middle of a picturesque village, serving Gastro syle food. No, it's not cheap, approx... More

Ate here recently as I visited a few years ago and had a lovely meal. Sadly the value for money has slipped majorly and it is now overpriced. Some of the staff were lovely and very helpful and friendly, one was most definitely not. Possibly the rudest waitress I have encountered for a long time, asking for a bowl of... More

Really sorry that you had poor service when you ate here recently. Our staff are generally our most important asset, and we're pleased that you found most of them to be friendly and helpful. If you'd like to e-mail info@thefullmoon.co.uk with the date of your meal and the name it was booked under, we'd be happy to investigate futher and... More

Stayed here a few years ago when the food was very good, however I stayed here recently and was hugely disapointed. You'd think steak and chips was probably the easiest thing to prepare, however even though i asked for medium rare. I was presented with something which was like an old shoe and the chips had obviously been deep fried... More

We are sorry that this guest had the inconvenience of moving rooms. The original booking was not for the 10 day period, but was extended twice during the guest's stay, and unfortunately we were unable to offer him the same room each time. This sometimes happens if there are other prior bookings specifying particular room types. More

Fantastic find. Great location for Longleat, beautiful Country Inn. The main pub area was very old with exposed stone, so lots of character, & then the pool & rooms a short staggering distance more modern, but totally within keeping. The people from Owner and Manager to waiting & bar staff were extremely pleasant & genuinely interested in chatting to their... More

We stayed here for 2 nights when we visited Longleat Safari Park and Bath, the room was lovely, nice comfortable bed and very clean. The pub was lovely, great garden for children to play in and the food was just what you wanted after a long day of site seeing. Breakfast was also enjoyable with almost everything you could want... Stayed here whilst visiting family in the area; wonderful location and fantastic welcoming hotel. With two small children we aren't always sure of a welcome in all hotels, but here the staff couldn't have been more helpful and accomodating. The food was excellent too. Our only small gripe was that our room didn't have a shower, only a bath. Still,... More
