After emailing the hotel to let them know we would be arriving late in the evening, we got lost on the dark country roads and were delayed even further, driving in around 11:30 pm. Kniowing this was a smaller hotel, I was a bit concerned that everyone would be asleep, but as I walked to the front door, the owner... More

For the price, the rooms were standard at best, plus no bath. Breakfast used quality ingredients, but we had no option on what to choose, eggs were as the chef felt like cooking. Vegetarian option was just the cooked breakfast without bacon. Basic requests such as asking for an ironing board were met with a simple 'no' and 'we're not... More

We had a meal here on a Tuesday night, the restaurant was about a half full. Service was slow, we waited ages for the main course to arrive. Starters were okay, nothing marvellous but acceptable with plenty of bread to go with them. We ordered pizza for the main course and after the very long wait we were very disappointed,... More

We live locally and really wanted to see what the place was like, as it would be nice to have somewhere to eat nearby. We had booked a large table for family for 7.30pm. We got there all at the correct time and ordered drinks. After some time one of our party asked whether we could be seated, the rather... More

Both evening meal and breakfast were of a very high standard...waiting staff were attentive yet discreet. Excellent value and the views are lovely!!

Arrived around 7.30 Saturday evening after driving from Sussex and a busy day visiting family locally. We were met and showed to our room in a warm friendly manner. We found the room clean and tidy and returned to the bar for drinks and bar snacks, which was served by a friendly and pleasant member of staff. After a good... More

I must admit I thought I might have made a horrible mistake booking for my family to stay at this place after reading some of the reviews here, but have to say I was really pleased I did book. The accommodation was basic, but it was clean and comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant and the food, well... More
