our room was tastefully furnished and beautifully comfortable and warm which was appreciated after the long climb up and round Cader idris. The bathroom was rather small as was the shower and wash basin but this is a bed and breakfast not a luxury hotel ! The dining room is delightfully furnished too and the food is well presented and... We stayed here for our walk up Cader Idris. Alistair and Edel made us very welcome and there was a very friendly environment. Music played whilst we eat an excellent meal and drinks in the back garden with a fantastic view. What more can you ask for?

This bed and breakfast is in a lovely location, especially for Cader Idris should you feel like a climb. The rooms are clean and comfy, bathrooms spotless and beds very good. The hosts can not do enough for you and if you book an evening meal the food is fab!

I booked this hotel based on its great reviews, however i think these people must have stayed in one of the 2 larger rooms as we were very disappointed with our room. We booked this small room as we wanted en suite, and we were told that the room was small which was not a problem for us. The problem... More

Alistair and Adel are fantastic hosts and made us and our dog very welcome nothing was too much effort... More

We had a great 1 night stay at Dolffanog whilst on a visit to the local Centre for Alternative Technology. We were in the main bedroom - it has a simply stunning view of the lake with a vista looking out towards the Cadre Idris area. The room was very well presented - clean, modernly furnished and 2 arm chairs... More

My son and I chose to spend our week's holiday at Alistair and Edel's, and I am very glad that we did. The food was amazing - thoughtfully planned, taking our needs and preferences into account, and carefully and creatively prepared. Delicious. The service was friendly without being intrusive and the care that they showed us seemed genuine and heartfelt.... More

I had an amazing stay here. The rooms are beautiful, fresh and clean. Our bathroom was amazing with a jacuzzi style bath. Alistair and Adel are lovely hosts, who made us both feel very welcome. They based there day around our needs and gave us a superb breakfast. Thoroughly enjoyed my trip as the surrounding views are amazing. Thank you,... More

We booked this fantastic place to return to after scaling Snowdon! Adel and Alistair were very helpful and made our stay a memorable one! The food is fantastic - fine restaurant standard, we were lucky enough to have live entertainment as well, a good old sing along to the piano! The only criticism we could have was the bedroom was...
