We stayed at the Rose Revived as a stop on the Thames path walk. It's fine for a one night stop off and good value for money. The location is beautiful. It's on the river and has a riverside garden. The Inn is owned by Greene King and I have to admit I'm not a fan of their beers or... More

We visited this pub for a Family meal while we were camping locally.it was a treat for us as we normally cook our own food at the camp site .on entering the pretty pub we noticed a queue at the bar leading out the door with only one person behind the bar dealing with the food orders and taking drinks... Went for lunch with my wife and our parents. Had to queue 30 minutes to get a drink and then join another 30 minute queue to order food. Nowhere near enough staff to cope with a Sunday lunch period and the ordering system defies logic. Will never go back as there are plenty of pubs in the area that do... More

It's hard to speak highly enough of the Rose Revived. I stayed there while walking the Thames Path--after a long day in the rain, this was the perfect place to stay. First, the location is about as good as it gets--in the countryside and right next to the Thames and a lovely old bridge. The Inn has an extensive patio/garden... More

We have just returned from 2 nights at this lovely little inn and wanted to give them some feed back. This is a very inviting and friendly place to stay for walking in the Cotswolds, especially for the Thames Walk. The food is very good, the wine list has something to accommodate everyone, but the biggest benefit to this inn... More

After visiting this pub with rooms for drinks last year I felt it would be a good place for my friend and I to stay during our five day Thames Path Walk. I booked what I thought was an en suite twin room in November last year and arrived in April to find we're in a room with bath and... More

I say 'unexpectedly' because my wife and I know this pub and have had very pleasant drinks and meals in its garden, enjoying the surroundings and especially the Thames flowing by and the punts with little flags which you can hire next door to the Rose (check opening times). But we knew it was effectively a 'chain' place, rather than... More

Just returned from a Sunday Lunch Carvery, We have eaten here before being local and I must say what an enjoyable experiance we had on a wet and miserable day. We had not booked but managed to get a table fairly quickly. The Carvery food was very good and luckily no long que's which can happen when they are busy.... More

I travel to the Oxford area quite often and always take the opportunity to visit this pub. The food is pretty standard pub fare but always good and the service is always equally good. The setting is very picturesque and a lunch here in the summer sitting by the river is a pleasant experience

This review is on the pub and not the accommodation. Let's get it straight, this is a chain type pub and therefore brings with it average quality food and all the other associated nuances such as having to go to the bar to order your food and every time you want a drink. Those who come here dreaming of a... More
