I stayed here for two nights. Most places that I stay in with work are not massively impressive halls. This place is an absolute dream as you approach it along the drive. The hotel is clearly signposted from a long way away so travelling to the hotel is simple. On arrival I entered the main hall to be told that... more

The room we stayed in was in the modern anex, clean and comfortable, overlooking the main building with a view of a well maintained herb garden . the surrounding 3000 acre woodland and grounds were awe enspiring experience, well worth putting yourself out and taking the time to walk through the woods where you will stumble across a lake and... more

After a very poor experience with a nearby similar low cost country house-come-conference centre, I was a bit wary of this - but Eynsham Hall is what Heythrop Park should be and I enjoyed my short stay. The main house is, perhaps, less imposing than that other hotel but plenty good enough for the likes of me. You enter in... more

In summary – DON'T go here for a quiet weekend and if you are a couple or small booking you will be treated like 2nd Class! On arrival our reservation was in correct, luckily there had been a cancellation so we were accommodated in a very small double room – with a tv stuffed into the corner of the room... more

A superb first impression with magnificent approach, grounds and main house. Attentive service. If you are choosing this hotel, enquire about your room first. Ours was in the Lodge and was very dated, small and poorly equipped. You really only want one of these rooms if you plan to do nothing more than sleep in it. Fortunately very nice grounds... more

We stayed at the hotel for one night, the grounds are beautiful and the hall is fantastic (take a camera!). Check-in was very efficient, I couldn't get a Hall bedroom so stayed in the Lodge and I must say that the room was great, we had a view of the countryside to the rear of the hall, the room and... more

We stayed at this hotel late August 2009. Dont waste your money. The drive up to the hotel is impressive, but it stops as soon as you walk into the building. Our hotel room...and that is stretching the point..which is actually not in the main part of the building but hidden around the side out of view and looks more... more

An amazing country retreat when you drive towards this hotel, but after the initial wow factor we found the hotel lacking. We stayed in the lodge, which is off to one side, the room was basic to say the least, double bed was pushed up against the wall, a terrible portable tv without remote control and a bathroom in need... more

After driving around madly trying to find accommodation for the five of us (we had no travel plans in the area..) we drove in at 7.30pm. It looks very grand from the outside, but was only 90 pounds for a twin, so we took a double and twin for us, and got a roll out bed. The room height is... more

Having read other reviews about this hotel, I was apprehensive and pleasantly surprised when I arrived. I wonder what exactly some people expect for the price. After all this hotel mainly seems to cater for training and conferences. The setting is imposing and the lounge and bar are comfortable, stylish and well furnished. There were seven of us staying in... more
