I am sorry to report that this is not a very nice place to stay. I arrived just after 9pm; the bar person gave me my key but did not show me to the room - she opened the back door and pointed at a block about 30 metres away saying that 'the room was in there on the left'.... more

We booked into this place as it was very conveniently placed within a short walk of the Rdigeway Path, where we planned to do a couple of days walking. Stayed at the Star Country In for one night, 2nd June 2007. It's located off the beaten track, but within easy reach of Wantage town.
