Requested ground floor room, however accessed via steps. Room was comfortable. Pub grossly overpriced for food and drink. Rump steak so called special was £23. Fish and chips £13.50 and chips were mass produced frozen and not home made. Medium glass of house wine £5. If staying here, eat elsewhere.

Having smallish appetites for lunch, we each had two starters - evey one a winner! Fish soup £5.50, venison and pigeon terrine with Cumberland sauce and apricot chutney £6.50, Cornish crab and chilli linguini £8, Addlestrop pigeon breast with caramelised red cabbage and redcurrant jus £6.50. Excellent skinny chips £3. Friendly service without delays, excellent beer and a pleasant glass... More

I am a regular visitor of the Kings Head and I find few pubs in the south of the UK to have as much charm and fantastic food as the Kings Head. I last stayed the w/end 10-12 Feb and found the staff to be as welcoming as ever. I can highly recommend. Nick

We had arranged to celebrate my birthday with a two-night stay split between the Kings Head at Bledington and its sister establishment the Swan Inn at Swinbrook. Bledington is a pretty village in the Cotswolds near Stow, the Kings Head being situated across a tiny bridge on the village green. (Vehicle access also exists by way of a wider road).There... More

We've been here a few times, and also to the Swan at Swinbrook. We love the laid back atmosphere, sitting in the garden with the chickens and the local food and beer. The rooms are also very comfortable. We went here for my 50th birthday, a bottle of champagne and single red rose from the garden in the room on... More

We took some friends there on the 1st Feb for lunch to celebrate, a little belatedly, my birthday. I had been somewhat concerned over the inconsistency of some of the reviews - but I needn't have worried. The food and the choices on the menu were excellent - you don't often get offered tempura frogs' legs in a pub in... More

Thankyou for your kind comments. We all work hard here to ensure that as many people as possible leave here satisfied at the very least . It is very reassuring to get positive feedback as when we get negative reviews our morale gets dented . We are working all the time to try and eliminate the errors that have led... More

Lovely place, so pretty such a shame about the almost inedible expensive lunch. Staff were good, no point in complaining it was obvious all the food was going to be similar by the looks of the other couples plates!

As an owner I want to get our product right . This customer gave me no opportunity to rectify his situation. If he had an ounce of decency he would have alerted us to the problem and we could have dealt with it face to face .Gutless to go behind our backs with very insulting and misleading comments .My wife... Pretty much faultless in terms of location, service, food, ambience, cleanliness and everything else. Mind you we only came out of our room 3 times in 3 nights, to eat, drink and drink a bit more. Breakfasts super, Kippers poached eggs whatever you like. Dinner menu great (wine list a tad limited for somewhere so swish to be honest)
