Situated a few minutes drive outside Worksop, this Lodge is nicely placed for a few days exploring the region. Sherwood Forest, Clumber Park and Rufford Country Park are all nearby for walking, bird watching etc. Reception on arrival was very friendly, our family room used by just the two of us ( room 27 ) was ready for us and... I have stayed in this Travelodge on numerous occassions in the past but it has drastically gone downhill ! My first problem was that one of the windows would close but couldn't be shut in place. The catch was completely broken. The bathroom wall has had so many things removed from it (heated towel rail etc) that it looks like... More

I chose to stay at Worksop Travelodge as it was good value accomodation near to family members we were visiting. I booked three rooms for a two night stay, they were only £19 each per night so worked out really cheap, wasn't the Ritz, but at the end of the day at £19 you can't really complain too much. Upon... I stayed here as a last minute booking to attend a funeral - what a mistake. The reception is dank and miserable. The corridors to the rooms are claustrophobic, dark and dirty. Then to the room - the fittings in the bathroom were all coming away from the wall, we were only given one set of towels and pillows. The... More

OK apart from the shower which was impossible to regulate - was either too hot or too cold and the temperature kept changing. The showerI had hair and stains from a previous guest. The Little Chef, attached, had nice staff and served a good breakfast. The Total petrol station, attached, had useful basic supplies and a cashpoint machine. If we... More

Dirty, worn, stained, damaged, badly repaired, sagging mattress, one towel between two of us. Summed up by a repair to the inside of the bathroom door where filler had been applied apparently with a spade and with no attempt to smooth off or even give the slightest impression of an attempt to match with the remaining door surface. I needed... More

This weekend gone we attended a family wedding, which was being celebrated at 11am on Mothers Day morning, over an hours drive from our home. Hmmmm don't know about the rest of you ladies but being up that early on Mothers Day and getting myself, my hubby and 2 gorgeous boys ready for setting off by 9.15am WAS JUST NOT... More

I booked a disabled room in this hotel for myself and my mother. We were given what we were told was the only disabled room. It was in reception so was incredibly noisy all night long with people going in and out and drunken louts making loads of noise at 4am. Only one single bed was made up so I... More

i admit on reading the reviews after booking like another reviewer said, i was also apprehensive but it was fine, yes the corridor smells a bit musty but my room was fine, clean and comfortable with an extra pillow above the hanging rail and very quiet. The Little Chef closes at 8pm but there is a nice pub over the... More
